there is a reason that so many trucks have SVC suspension bits on them.
I don't mind that list. You can't expect a Forbes writer to spend thousands of hours doing research for a top 10 list.
It wouldn't surprise me if I've talked to that writer.
I think those pressures are quite a bit high. i personally think that 32 psi cold is WAY too high for offroad. The difference between 28 Psi and 25 Psi is REALLY noticeable ( to me).
The difference between 32 and 25 is light-years.
Set the tires to 25 psi and go for it. You're going to...
why would you park the raptor back on the trailer, unless you were loading it up to leave again?
I've never been to a campground with a parking shortage.
If you need to reposition the trailer once the raptor is off of it, just use the raptor to move it.
each squadron pro will draw 3.33 Amps.
Depending on which upfitter you use, they can take 15A, 10A or 5A.
I like to plan for 30% buffer.
So for my porpoises, I'd say a pair of lights on 3 separate upfitters is the way to go.
I didn't see a spec sheet on the race versions of the lights...
yes. It was discussed a bunch.
The hose that TS provided with the kit is too flexible. It will collapse a little bit, which means the vacuum strength will quickly fluctuate based on check valves and it causes the intermittent "sprinkler" sound.
You can't tee off of that line without throwing...
do you have the keypad on your B pillar? ( outside of the truck.)
If so, try pressing the bottom 2 buttons simultaneously. Does it lock?
Is your tailgate slightly unlatched? How about the hood?
"whoever" debated with you on that is wrong.
I have lots and lots of miles on my bars.
I've broken them too. ( the lower mounts have been redesigned since.)
You don't want to have the axle move fore and aft. The arc from the front pivot point allows for the shackles to pivot/rotate just fine...
I have to laugh that 2018 is considered an "older model year".
When I first built my truck, I got lots of "OMG you take that to BAJA? it is too nice for that!".
Why else would I build it? Drive the truck, enjoy the truck. If keeping it "nice" is too daunting for you, this kind of vehicle...
F-250 + full Carli Kit + Mcneil Fenders and bedsides + 40s or 42s ( you could fit 46s with +6 fenders and bedsides) = Saving about half of what a megarexx truck costs.
That company is not "new". They've been doing this since 2015/2016 at least.
If your buddy wants a more tasteful setup, have...
I'd also argue that most people don't know what to do with the Raptor's "450hp" when driving off-road.
All the TRX does, with the extra HP, is give underskilled drivers the ability to ruin their own day, much faster.
It doesn't matter how fast the TRX can get to 60MPH if it can't carry the...
I can't take anyone seriously that is rating an offroad truck based on " the plastics being plastic-y". give me a break.
Furthermore, their comparison videos rank the suspension articulation on the TRX as better, even though in the footage, the raptor has all wheels on the ground when...
I have one in dallas. Its at a shop and could be lashed to pallet without too much trouble. Axle is complete, minus brakes & wheel speed sensors. It will need shock mounts welded back on.
I'd love to see a hybrid drivetrain, but a bit different than most assume.
I'd like to see electric hub drive in the front, gasoline engine driving the rear. Do away with the front axleshafts and differential.
I'd also like to see a locker that can be engaged in 2wd high.
Regardless, I...
Unless you're going with something non-standard, I think you're a little tall on the shock prices.
Looks like the King spec for the package is between $5K and $6K. ( depending on which options you go with.) The fox package is probably slightly more, but maybe not.
Might be worth calling svc...
There is a shop in Maryland doing Twin-turbo Coyote swaps. The first one off the dyno put down right around 1000 HP. I'd say the minimum you'll get done there for is probably 35K as well.
You can go to hypercar in NC, and depending on what you opt for, you can plan on 38K-55K. you'll be at...
