Definitely longer than that! I did my Exploder a couple weeks ago (it was REAAALLLLYYY faded, was a repo from AZ) and it's been out there in direct sunlight since, rained a few times, not getting washed again anytime soon haha!
Front wheelwell gives you an idea of what all the plastic cladding...
There ya go! $0 mods are my favorite, they are just too few and far between. Ok maybe invest in a few big-ass zip ties, but you can never have too many zip ties
I didn't even know GJ had 'em. I thought the Rubicon disconnect was pretty ingenious, although in practice not sure it works that great heh, or maybe that was the new Bronco version but either way that's the best of both worlds if it works, QD links wouldn't be bad either...
Serious winter up there man. Can you see Canada and like polar bears in the distance?!! Getting mixed reviews here about whether or not it will actually dip below "warmish" in January/February, after moving here in June when it was "inferno"...
Getting there!! Still scrounging for two more Gen1 beadlock wheels and six true beadlock rings, tentatively for Load range "D" 37's for runs...money piiiiiiiiitttttt :insane:
Those things ride like wagon wheels!! Even aired down to 30 on pavement it felt like low-pro 24's. The tradeoff is puncture resistance probably but damn, that too is way worth the tradeoff I think...also it'll be my excuse for a bed rack and 2 spares :troll3:
PROBABLY Haha!! If it's a deep one that downward force is transferred to the opposite side of the truck, contributing to "felt" impact as well as body roll back and forth (again it's 3 tons so...some). But the swaybar removal was minimal for me either way, going from Load range E to Load range...
I think you would have to REALLY corner hard to notice the difference, and I don't think ice would have any impact at all; as I understand it, it's all about weight transfer so the swaybar lifts the inside (front in this case) of the turn you're taking...thereby keeping the frontend planted and...
Seems legit, I'll add 'em to my list heh, thanks!
I ditched the swaybar several years ago, no issues, admittedly 95% on-road and I'm not doing slaloms or hot laps at Laguna Seca or anything. Even with 35" KO2's the width of the Raptor IMHO would take a LOT to tip without one, way farther than...
Negative Ghostrider. Or at least that's the same conclusion I came to (not replaceable), along with the fact that the OEM UCA is pretty cheap so might as well just get a new one.
Yes the factory shocks have this goofy rubber pellet to fill/discharge the nitrogen, you have to pierce with a needle (not cool). See DIY rebuild your shocks thread...
Or get them from Kartek with the right threads...
Ok I've been thinking about this, do you think the improvement is due to the strap acting as the opposite of a bump stop at full extension? I know it's not elastic like a kinetic tow rope but I envision it has at least a little bit of give to soften the blow, just curious if you think that's...
I have SVC and no issues, would recommend. But I would also look at RPG, Icon, Krazy House and Evil...and wait for Black Friday to see if you can score a deal. The SVC touts being adjustable but honestly I haven't ever adjusted it and it's a huge pain in the ass to torque all 6 of those bolts...
Haha I would have expected better from that too!! The first couple years my truck spent in southern NM/west TX sun without even a carport definitely took it's toll, I don't know how good the Cerakote is but I'll report back in a few months. Fortunately it's in a garage now (barely!) so not...
Not sure who posted about this stuff but the Cerakote Trim Coat works great!
My cowl plastic was faded bad, along with door handles, hood vents, mirror plastic, etc.
After drying thoroughly and applying in the shade:
Looks a whole lot better now, definitely recommend it, will see how long it...
1. I think so on Fakebook, but I ditched my account a long time ago  Haven't had a chance to swipe wife's fone and look yet, moved here a few months ago...
2. Where do they hide the dipstick in a Gen2?!
I haven't heh, just offering an option I would consider (Gen1). But pretty sure it's the same diff across generations aside from maybe shock/arm mounts for Gen3's, Yukon says 2011 and up for that ring & pinion...
