Perfect haha! Sorry I know it’s a lot of work, about to do the same swapping stock springs for Giesers next weekend if the weather is nice. Now let’s talk about those zip ties heh. Ever seen zip tie standoffs with rubber hose like fuel line?
Right on, good to hear it worked!! Hail is no joke and it's a sickening sound when it's out there hammering your truck and there's nothing you can do about it. Been there a few times in NM, once literally the first night I brought a brand new work truck home (quarter size hail), several on the...
They are physically the same, there's different ones out there for the tint at the top (I think OEM is the only one with a Ford logo in the black dots at the top center).
Well that just SUCKS. Sorry to hear, here's hoping for the best but damn. Good luck man, you're always welcome here at the lake house if you're in the neighborhood (AR).
Awesome truck and low miles, someone is going to get a good one. Trip meter hasn't even been cleared since 0.5 miles!?
Basset Houuuuuund!!! Had one back in the day, great dogs.
Appreciate the insight. I thought I was the only one that thought these prices were batshit crazy, even at or near MSRP.
Can confirm tie rods inner & outer are the same left to right. Rockauto is probably cheaper, I prefer OEM (which they have) but did try AC Delco on the outers and Moog on the inners, the outers were greasable but the boots are cheapy so next time I'll go Motorcraft. Aftermarket is nice but...
Right?!! I had a hard time deciding, rarely use 4WD but last time I tried the left side was popping in and out of engagement. Kinda pointless to lug all that front diff, CV shafts, driveshaft and transfer case weight around ALL the time, just to have one or both IWE's fail on the rare occasion...
Got some parts in, thanks @Rick@FMS ! I thought Geisers came with just a black paint finish, was considering painting them Fox/Ford blue but the silver looks really good, think I'll put 'em on like they are:
RCV IWE deletes, now I need to find some vacuum plugs:
Damn somebody needs to snap this up. F250 has a transmission dipstick that's not 2" long and is easily accessible from the engine compartment?! Thanks Ford.
Gorgeous. Thinking I'll try the same on my composite covers next time I have them off, sans the clearcoat I kinda like the almost matte...
Oh dammit lol! Sorry I should know better and S T F U when I don't have first-hand experience. In my defense, I was hoping someone else would be the guinea pig!!
Not sure but interested to find out. I know mine will throw a reminder based on time (a year) or miles (mine's set to 5k). It may adjust for driving habits but I haven't noticed it.
Not sure, heater hoses probably, that might just be bulk 3/4" or 7/8" or whatever it is. Might be a ***** to get to the heater core ends too, not sure if they are inside or outside the firewall? Mishimoto might have them precut I'm not sure, I didn't go too far on adding things to my wishlist...
