My daily driver ecoboost SCREW almost never carries passengers in back, but it ALWAYS has a floor jack, tow straps, hefty bags, jumper cables, a tool box & tool bags, coolant bottles, first aid & fire bottle, even extra cold/wet weather gear. And all of it is out of sight. No way to do that...

Those are nice! I like that you can remove the struts if you're carrying something big that takes up the entire bed. My daily driver ecoboost gets used for hauling everything from scrap lumber to old furniture and even a tree trunk; this is the only bed support design that would allow it.

A hydraulic system will handle impact differently that the EPAS system. An EPAS system failure means you no longer have steering, while old school hydraulic can still be forced to turn. The outer tie rod should probably be designed to be the weakest link because it's the easiest to replace...

Another option to avoid the clearance issue is to just get the ICON spacer dealio instead^^^. Much smaller diameter, so you keep the Big Boy CV axle, but no risk of destroying the spring perch on a G-out landing.
