lol, I don't understand why all the hating. I bought a Raptor for it's performance and great looks. The OP has accomplished both with his conversion. I certainly didn't buy it for the NAME. I could care less if it's not an official Raptor as long as it can keep up on the trail.
In fact, the 06...
I wouldn't expect much increase. But the shocks will increase performance substantially. Your springs probably added a little travel.
I would definitely add the rear 3.0's though. The front already out performs the rear and by adding 3.0's in the front, you only made that gap bigger.
tbone has my old rack which use to be Bbrown1867. Anyhow, it wouldn't exactly apply but I think ratchet straps could solve your problem.
Does the 3 ton jack long enough stick over either end of the cross bars of the rack?
From looking at the rack you need a platform going across the existing...
I'd love to hit up Baja. A 4 day trip sounds perfect!
What run? I don't see any info/plan about a run in this thread. I see a useless thread asking people if they'd be interested in doing a run in SoCal. News flash: THERE'S INTEREST. Hence the Toy Run, Toy Run Rerun, Ocotillo Wells meet up...
You could go with a 1 inch. Might want to do some research on how well spacers hold up offroad. I've heard they can fail but than again I haven't really looked into it.
Welcome to the club! I'm pretty sure you'll love the truck.
Also, if you're interested in getting out and playing in the dirt; check out the upcoming expedition's section. There's a meet up at Prairie City (Just past Sacramento) which is a good opp to break her in.
There will probably be...
Hope this works for you. One thing I know for sure after watching you mash around Prairie City, you'll definitely figure out if it works the first time you hit the dirt haha.
The fact is if you use your Raptor off road and don't drive like a 90 year old Grandma with a bad back- you will damage your truck in some way. You can be the best driver in the world, but eventually something will break. It's often not one thing that causes a problem. It's the constant and...
Ok, I don't like talking to someone like this when I have yet to meet them in real life and I'm sure you're a pretty nice guy . I hope you don't take this personally. But would you please shut the **** up? You've never been on any of these runs.
The organizers of these runs go to pain staking...
Glad the found the issue. Funny what rattles loose on a run.
ihavegas had a bolt (which had locktight on it) work it's way out. He couldn't turn right after. Luckily it happened just as we got to pavement. Couldn't imagine if his steering wheel locked up on a turn.
I'll let those who were on the Outlaw run and were part of it respond. But, I suspect whoever is this authors source has an ax to grind. Part of what Outlaw sold and provided for their customers was a preran course with MARKED hazards. And it was an absolute requirement to have radios. And...
It's hard to say what it could be but sometimes there is a bad batch. California pump gas actually is not even 91 with all the additives. More like 89 according to AED (my old mustang tuner). Anyhow if you had some gas that had been sitting for a while and lost a couple octain, combined with a...
