Do you guys air down offroad? What PSI for stock tires?

So, my Wrangler runs Falken AT3W 35s in 17” wheels. When crawling, I run them at 20psi front and rear. I have a dual ARB compressor that can reset a bead if needed and of course, they get me suited up quickly.

Switching from car play back to regular screen

Yea, it’s one of those annoying things. FCA’s uConnect puts the CarPlay window into a digital frame so they can still show some info like the time and temp, on screen, at all times. However that also makes the Carplay display area smaller and the uConnect is hot garbage.

    BuiltRight Dash Mount Accessories

Good to be here ;) OP: 67 Designs also has their own F150 mount you can consider. You can get it with up to four ball mount points. It doesn’t ‘look’ as robust as the one from Builtright but I can guarantee that it is because 67D’s reputation. I beat the hell out of mine in the Jeep and have...

    Heated Steering Wheel

I only wish they had given us a physical button for the wheel. It’s great on a cold Colorado day but at some point I want it turned off. Having to get out of CarPlay, to the climate menu, then pressing the steering wheel button is a PITA and is too distracting. I’ll doublecheck the home...

What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

It’s not much but I guess it counts as my first mod. Had BulletLiner sprayed in yesterday. I love it from a looks perspective. Time will tell if it was actually a good idea.

Ever Even Consider a Super Duty?

I seriously considered the F250 for about 2 minutes. That's how long it took for me to find out that it was about 10 inches too long to fit in my garage. Otherwise I think I'd have seriously considered buying one.

    Bullet Liner

Did research on some other forums. BulletLiner was created by the founder of Line-X. He made it after selling Line-X and completing his non-compete agreement. The claim is that he changed the formula to make it more durable and UV resistant. I guess I'm gonna find out if that's true. Looking...

    Bullet Liner

Hey fellas, Do any of you have experience with Bullet Liner? I’m considering them over Line-X. They claim good UV protection but is it really? It tends to be a little more affordable than Line-X too. Real life reviews, comments, or well crafted trolling appreciated.

OK, that's VERY interesting. Thank you very much for the information.

    Looking for Tonneau Cover Recommendations

If it fits your needs, you can’t go wrong with BakFlip. I had the G2 on my previous F150 and Ram pickups. I believe the G2 was advertised as weather resistant but not really water tight. However, with some minor mods to the drainage rails I did get a water tight experience, even when going...

Bed rack for rooftop tent and tonneau

It’s certainly under consideration. Do you happen to know how much the rear section would open with the rack installed? Also, do you have a DYNAMIC weight rating? It wouldn’t have to be much since a RTT usually weighs under 200lbs.

Bed rack for rooftop tent and tonneau

I’d like to find something that works well with a Diamondback SE or HD cover, while using a RTT. I’m thinking of redneck engineering a pivoting system that would let me open the back of the cover a few degrees. I’m going to be overlanding with this rig and taking some moderately challenging...

    GEN 2 Carplay issue

Just one more piece of advice. Get a wooden toothpick or something similar that is NON CONDUCTING and clean the lint out of your lightning port. You’d be amazed at how much lint can get in there..

    Windshield replacement

I can’t speak specifically to the Raptor but our old Subaru, with auto cruise control absolutely required it. I’d say it’s time to call the service dept.

    Car Insurance

Looking through this thread, I see one topic that isn’t being covered. Does your insurance policy have an off road exemption? There are A LOT of policies out there that will not cover damage if you are driving off road. Go overlanding or crawling and roll your vehicle, that’s on you. Check...

Anyone with experience using "Bubba Rope"...any alternatives?

IMO, this is one of those items you don’t cheap out on. I buy off reputation so it’s either Bubba Rope or Factor55’s rope. I ended up with Bubba Rope for my Jeep.

    Death wobble ?

Road Force Balancing is the first thing I’d check. Just a normal tire balancing won’t do on these larger tires. You need a simulated pressure of the tire being on the road. The symptom of it oscillating at a higher speed seems to fit. It’s not really “death wobble”. That’s something that...

GEN 2 Replacing cloth seats with oem leather

There are several instructional videos on Youtube for installing aftermarket leather on the F-150. I think you'll find those useful. Just search F-150 Katskin or DIY F-150 Leather, etc., etc. Good Luck.

    My Boy Blue..

I joined up a week or so ago and I’ve been lurking for months, but I finally bought my Raptor a couple of days ago. So I figure I should introduce myself properly. I’m Rick and live north of Denver. I’m a Army Vet, Computer Nerd, Jeep and now Raptor guy. I love the mountains and I can’t get...

Uniden R7 or should I drive the speed limit

The Waze app, and being alert, has saved my ass more than any radar detector ever could. I once drove from Denton, TX to Austin in my Porsche Cayenne. I was doing 140mph any time I there were no cars around me. Waze saved me from going to jail on several occasions. It also helps to only speed in...

    Raptor's Achilles Heel

Not exactly an achilles heal if it affects any other vehicle with tires. Ika is right, a beadlock ring will help. It also helps to know how to break and reseat a bead in the field. there are several methods that could help you in the future.
