TCSC, You can't just hook up resistor in series to drop the V+ for a hi-watt LED like yours. You need a regulated power supply as LED's are very picky about what drives them when they are high-watt. Check out Fry's or Mouser online. This vid does a great job of explaining the details...

Yeah I was being a *****! Truck was brand-new and I was pulling onto a tractor/cat pad that had just been pressure washed. It flew everywhere when I pulled out. Mud is fun but a PITA to get off. Looks like I'll need to upgrade my pressure washer soon if I really use this truck as intended...
