Yeah I also have heard of that camera module failing, was an easy fix, apart from whatever they screwed up with the radio but they’ll have to figure that out.
Hopefully the cleaning or potential replacement of the starter fixes the issue. It’s kind of difficult to reproduce the issue since is...
Thanks for the great info. I’m going to have them start with inspecting and cleaning the starter on Monday. Hopefully that’s the issue and just needs the connections cleaned or the unit replaced, easy fix. And will definitely be adding some heat wrap to the starter either way. I don’t have...
Actually the dealer just had to take passenger side header off to replace the broken dip stick tube. 8hr job hahaha. The headers are ceramic coated, I’d rather not wrap them. So I think I’m going to have the dealer check fuse 27 (since it’s easy) and then inspect/replace the starter. Thanks @MTF
For the past few months my truck has had a hard time starting up after a 100% fill up. (See video) If you hold the key long enough it may start. Or you’d need to move key back to acc and try again. Sometimes it starts right up 2nd or 3rd time, and sometimes it starts and feels choked and pops...
More weight over stock. More weight on the tires on the dyno rollers = more friction and HP loss. While more friction in an offroad, wet, or icy environment is a good thing. In the case of registering power, the less force required to move the tires on the dyno rollers the better.
Thats is in a perfect scenario. You have to account for 37” tires, heavier aftermarket suspension, internal cage, full bed rack with gear and 2 spares, not to mention we dyno’d at near 7,000’
Yeah I’m currently Devers +3s, Camburg shackles, so there is about 1” more, but still within the driveshaft limits. Shame that I fucked up the lighter 1 piece drive shaft and have to go back to OEM for now. But can’t complain too much since it’s covered
Well, the Livernois motor performed flawlessly on the way to Vegas from Colorado. But around the halfway point the output shaft bushing and seal failed and puked out all the fluid from the transfer case. Even stopped in New Mexico at an awesome Ford dealership to see if a quick part swap would...
The loose actuator/phaser caused damage to the phaser as well as the limiters. New parts overnighted. Livernois did make it right and is paying for the parts and labor.
We’re also going to use the last tune and run in again on the dyno and see if there was any power loss with the head issue.

I actually think it’s too quiet. But I erred on the quiet side since I drive to the southwest from Colorado to go on ROC runs and don’t need to be deaf by the time I’m there. Well see how I feel after the Mint 400 and if I need to go with smaller...
I hope so too, they’ve been very easy to get ahold of and worked with me on the motor build so no complaints there. I’m sure we’ll get it handled tomorrow.
And yeah maybe I’ll try the youtube way.
Yeah Truck Night was brutal. Motor was dead as ****, both diffs had water. Trans was flushed and...
Good news:
Got it on the dyno. The numbers were very impressive and it idled great. We ended up with the following corrected numbers at around 6900ft.
Motor - 526HP / 541TQ
Wheel - 390HP / 401TQ
Motor number is based on a 35% loss of power through the drivetrain, beefier gears, larger tires...
