Trail Control allows you to set a slow speed using the steering wheel buttons (good for hill descent for example) and 1-Pedal allows you to drive just using the accelerator pedal. When you lift off the pedal it applies the brakes to hold you in place (good for clearing obstacles for example)...
That is cool! The 2021's have 1-Pedal and Trail Control with the button up on the dash. I've used them and they can be handy in certain situations. Supposedly Trail Turn Assist should be a SW upgrade at some point. It looks really handy from the Bronco demos of it I've seen!
John @Specialtyperformanceparts did a video showing a number of different lights mounted on the GEN 2, which would give you a good idea of what is possible on the GEN 3 without interfering with the camera. I've decided on the Diode SS5. I think four would fit no problem and maybe even 6, but...
Had a weird transmission glitch yesterday. I did a spirited acceleration from a red light under approximately 50-75% throttle. When I hit about 4900 rpm I lifted and revs began to cycle. I immediately got a "Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power" alert and the throttle felt disconnected from...
Yeah, highly recommended! It takes the DT connections going into the OEM fogs and allows you to route it up to the rest of the upfitters behind the battery with WP connectors.
I went and looked at the parts diagrams that i could find and didn't see anything in that area, but you could pull the center console out, verify it and once its out then you could install a backing plate for an even more secure install. The laziness in me won that debate!
Took some video of my Diode Dynamics SS3 Yellow Pro fogs I installed. Messing around in iMovie and got carried away! :burnout:The fogs are mounted on a @Specialtyperformanceparts Triple Fog bracket and wired using their Triple Fog Harness and AUX1 & Fog Switch Relocation Harness. I've got the...
@Specialtyperformanceparts triple fog bracket installed with Diode Dynamics Pro Spot, Driver (SAE) and Fog (SAE) in amber. Used John's triple and Aux 1 & Fog harnesses. I've got the fogs on the fog switch, drivers on the Aux 1 and spots on Aux 2. Thanks John, this is great!
Any trick to getting the OEM fog electrical connectors disconnected? I slid the red tab back, but can't get it to come apart. I'm not finding any tabs to press on either.
Edit #2: Figured it out! The easiest way to disconnect is to release the red tab lock and then using a small flat blade...
@Specialtyperformanceparts Hey John- when can we expect install instructions on the triple fog brackets? I'm itching to get going on the install! Thanks!
Did a post break-in oil change at about 2,750 miles. The first one on this truck and first on an F-150 for me. The factory tightened oil filter was torqued down so much I bent the sh*t out of the filter trying to get it out. Seemed to be able to get a better purchase on it with a filter...
I played with various combos of Google maps and Waze via Apple car play and the built in NAV and it didn’t seem to me there was any rhyme or reason when the turn screen would come up. I looked through all the settings and never found anything either.
@zemuron99 Sure! I'm actually a newb on HAM, but I learned a lot when I was researching radios, the install, licensing process, amateur radio ops etc., but I have 25 years of experience operating and programming radios from my past life in the military as a pilot. Here is a link to a thread I...
Ha! Good question, but it’s also funny you should ask that because the radio supports a BFT like functionality as well. With a digital radio there’s a way to communicate with and navigate to folks in a group, so you can track their where abouts, which might be handy when you don’t have a...
Got the RT Systems programmer for my Yaesu FTM-400XDR dual band radio and programmed a local comms load. This software allows you to download a list of repeaters (any amatuer band) in a given area from Repeaterbook or in the case of RFinder, a given area or travel route for upload. Oh, and...
