I love that intersection. I always try to time it to allow a decent run through the green light without traffic. More than once I've waived to the people watching me sail by in front of them. The best part is that you don't really have to go very fast to get air there. If you can get some asshat...
I have that lock pick setup for my 2011. I thought the front camera was a gimmick until I went out doing some slow 4 wheeling.
Driving over rocks and across sketchy stuff without having to get out and check for clearance or use a spotter keeps things moving along pretty well. I have mine set...
I haven't been to the course but professional instruction is something that I'd love to do. If nothing else it's going to a lot of fun and that's not a lot of money at the end of the day. I bet the skills that you learn will prevent you from breaking $1500 worth of shit on your own truck learning.
I was going to extend my breathers but after looking at where and how they are mounted I'm not too worried. I think the water intrusion problem will more likely be from the rapid temperature differential between the axle and water that allows water past the seals. If it's coming in through the...
My experience with the local dealership was so bad with my one issue I'd have never thought would be questioned that I have all but written them off. I mostly self insure because I plan to mod bigger items through attrition. It seems like it's less hassle to just do the work myself so I know...
I've got the factory one and use it all of the time. You can't have a top gunner if you don't have a way for someone to get out there with a gun. :head3:
I got mine from Stage3motorsports. The part number for my truck was 46-70152 It's the same for anything with the 9.75 axle. I don't think the sight glass is a weak point for a couple reasons. It's mostly protected by the axle for anything but a lateral (from the truck) impact. The sight glass is...
It does sound a bit like a power steering problem that may have migrated to the rack. If it's under warranty I'd drive straight to a dealer. If not I'd probably start with a really good physical inspection of everything under the front end. If there is something not right or binding externally...
I went with the AFE. It has internal and external cooling fins, magnetic dipstick and drain plug, as well as a sight glass. I paid ~$250 for it and couldn't be happier.
I saw this on Orange Addict's truck and was very interested in asking more about it but never followed up. Can the tire be pushed further forward or to the rear to open enough floor space for a cooler or pelican case? It seems like it's centered over the axle, which is great except for long...
The TSB I was referring to was in this thread.

My issue was related to the reservoir filter getting clogged or insufficient fluid getting through the system. I burned a PS pump up and had to...
My issues were 110% windows related. if I could have done it on a mac I don't think I'd have had any issues at all. The cable loading a driver that it can't use is a pain.
The hoses are pretty cheap and the job is easy. My experience with Ford warranty stuff for power steering sucked. I later learned that my year truck (2011) had a TSB that would have potentially prevented the problem that they knew existed and didn't cover under warranty.
Good info that was easy to understand. I know when I was picking an antenna I had to sift through tons of conflicting data to figure out what was valid and optimal for my intended use. Thanks!
You could probably do some creative aiming with Chris' suggestion to make it work. I haven't had a desire to run just the fogs because it's not that big of a deal here.
When I installed the lock pick on mine I left the box near the bottom panel closest to the gas pedal. I figured the panel is easy to get into and the box is easily accessible without tearing things apart. Never thought of putting it by the upper speaker.
