Here is my latest video. Much louder clunking on the left front than the right front. Sorry for the squeaking noise, must have been some electrical interference.
Based on the diagnostics I did on my 21 which included replacing the left front upper strut mount and using my own chassis ears on different locations of the suspension, I do believe the noise/feel I have is in the struts. I picked my truck up today with no parts ordered. I am going to make...
I’ll be trying a different dealer. The first one called me back and said “we heard the noise a little but couldn’t tell which side so we can’t order parts. You can take the truck until it gets worse.”
Strange how the Ford Pass App doesn’t show a change on the odometer since yesterday but they...
What makes my situation more frustrating is that this is the same dealer that I brought my 21 Raptor to a few months ago with the exact same noise. I brought my own chassis ears at that time and rode with the tech. Of course there wasn’t a fix then and now that I have my 22 there, they can’t...
I just dropped mine off at the dealer. Without trying to be too pushy, I told them I had heard that a fix might have been released by Ford. The service advisor seemed to be unaware of any resolution at this point and said that it would pull up by VIN if there was a bulletin available. We shall...
I've noticed that on my 21 and 22. It caught me off guard at first like I had forgot to place the transmission in park but after a few times I don't pay attention to it anymore.
CarPlay definitely isn't a perfect system. Mine does connect most of the time but I did have issues at first. After I restarted my phone and re-paired, it has worked better. I wish it would automatically go to the CarPlay screen when I start the truck instead of the Sync home screen.
**edit** I just went over it with my dealer. The truck was revoiced but never got the new window sticker. The numbers on my deal sheet match up.
I just bought this on Saturday. Based on the window sticker, should I get a refund for blue cruise?
I was able to pick up a ‘22 with 37pp sooner than I anticipated. The clunk is there on 37s as well. I thought at first that it might not have been quite as noticeable but it was a very warm day when I picked it up from the dealer. Well today it’s been cloudy and not as warm and the noise/feel is...
I just went and checked mine. I see the piece you are talking about, but when I place the chassis ears on the coil spring like I did in the 2 videos I posted a few weeks ago and I make that piece around the steering rack clunk, nothing is picked up in the chassis ears.
I took mine to another dealer on Thursday of last week. The technician couldn't really hear/feel the clunk so I went by there on Saturday to ride with him. I took the chassis ears on the test drive and showed him the issue. So after we duplicated the clunk he said he would open a hot line case...
The noise is not that loud without chassis ears. I have the speaker volume turned up so that it will be picked up in the video. However the clunk feeling in the floor/pedal area matches perfectly with the noise.
I drove with the service manager on that exact same route a couple of weeks ago. His response was that they all feel that way but he would reach out to the field rep and get back with me. I’m still waiting for a call back. I called Ford and they want me to try another dealer.
Did you ever jump on the rear bumper to see if yours clunked like other people have done on here? If so, after the right rear was replaced, does it still clunk when doing that “test”?
Mine clunks when I jump on the rear bumper but the noise I hear while driving is in the front.
