I too am curious about these setups. My welders/metal fab guys at my place of work are making me a bed mounted light rack. Due to my garage head clearance I need some sort of actuator set up. Was tossing around the idea of electrical or a manual set up. Obviously I would like an electrical so I...
Thanks Zeke555 I was curious about the snow build up. Here in Central New York we get a lot and that's primarily why I was going to put these on. I want to keep the salt, slush, and road crap from packing up in my frame, rocker panels, and rear springs/shocks/breaks. I was going to put a set of...
I know I am dragging up an old thread here but, Sano Dano How are you liking your midflaps? I was going to do this tomorrow or in the next few days while I am off from work. Do you think they are placed a little too far to the rear, or are they effective where they are? Just behind our front...
whoisbigman thank you for the response. I did "know" that but I didn't think it through very clearly until I just read what you posted. I was incorrectly thinking that sitting level it would be in the T-case all the way, but that doesn't allow the rear to move upwards and in. I will be the first...
Backinblack no suspension modifications at all. All stock springs and shocks.
CoronaRaptor I have had the tires 2 weeks today. I put almost 2,500 miles on them running up to snoball and back I can't believe they have worn that much. I was getting the vibration 2 days after they were put on. I...
Alright so as you can all see from the photos my driveshaft has pulled from my transfer case in total about an inch. You can see 2 very distinct wear marks. I believe it happened when it was put on a lift and had new tires put on. It pulled out and never went back in. I don't know if this is two...
Good deal, let us know how you turn out. I hate to see people having issues with their trucks and even more that they get jerked around by the stealership. I wish you luck!
I am having driveshaft/transfer case issues now too and luckily thus far my stealership has been very helpful. We will see...
Stingray23 I have to agree with PropDr. I too am running the Duratrac's. Hands down the best tire I have ever had. I have owned and driven many vehicles with numerous different tires in the past and honestly I will never buy a different tire ever again. For an all around tire I can't say enough...
Morgasm11 if you haven't already check out the thread in the "TSB recall" section.
http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f183/tsb-11-8-12-5-4l-transmission-harsh-2-1-downshift-13652/
There are a few in there about harsh up and down shifts. Take these TSB's with you and tell them to fix your shit.
shooterAMG Thanks for being an entertaining and great leader. This was my first SnoBall and frankly first Raptor outing, Lauren and I had a great time.
The cheeky radio banter, great sights, fun and diverse driving, and all the different people and personalities of the group really made for an...
I am experiencing the exact same thing. Ive got a '13 with about 40k on it. I just this Monday put new Duratrac's on it. Mine only does it at 50. Not 49 or 51 but right at 50mph. I thought maybe a balancing error of one of the new tires, or just the meatier lugs vs the stock BFG's were causing...
Just pop off that little panel. Should be 4 torx holding it on. I don't recall what size, 12 maybe?? You can reach up to grab your filter there.
The drain plug is behind the skid plate. No need to remove anything to get to that. Unless a 2011 is completely different than a 13.
WRCRaptor it was your post and the exact copy and past part number that led me to the black lugs! Thank you sir, and I will most definitely being checking these, and picking up a floor jack to keep impact wrenches off of them. I am also in Spartan so I wont have too hard of a time finding you...
Yukon Joe update yes indeed:
I pulled them off and the chrome caps were in fact split right at the base on a few. The studs checked out all ok. The rim also looked fine, no wallowing of the holes, and no odd uneven wear. I had a new set of duratacs put on today in preparation for snowball as...
Good advice thank you. I only drove it home from the shop right around about 10 miles. I didn't notice anything abnormal at all, only when I went around to check them. I am driving the wife's focus in the meantime until the new lugs arrived that should be here on Monday. A day off that I have...
RDFTS and SirCrush32 Thank you both so very much. I could in no way take a hand out like that. It is extremely gracious of you both and I sincerely appreciate the offers. I really cannot except! You guys are both great though and Thank you!
Being that I am just shy of 40,000 miles I am a little...
Indeed sirs you are correct I just checked the owners manual it is indeed 150. Not sure where I got 100 from, I think that's the wife's focus.
All checked out to 150. Still sloppy as hell...what to do from here???
So guessing it's the sleeve as I was also having a hell of a time getting my socket on and off. Just strange it is three right nextto each other. Is there a way to tell for sure?
If it is in fact the sleeves am I good to run it? Should I be looking for new lugs?
So yesterday I had my tires rotated by a tire shop near me. I don't have a floor jack tall enough to do it myself. Which I ways like to do most all general maintenance myself so I know it's done right and to avoid what think I now have as a problem.
I went around it today checking the lugs...
We are not under any contract at this time.
And as far as "unlocked", I haven't a clue. We bought them outright from Verizon to keep my old unlimited plan.
