Got bored and needed a way to spend 4 hours stooped over my steering wheel trying to get my hands in the most uncomfortable positions possible. Oh and poking myself with a needle a dozen or so times. But seriously it turned out great and was really simple just time consuming and tedious. I...
Just got done with a little diy hydro dipping with the chrome trim pieces on the center console. I have been practicing for about a week now and those pieces were the most I was comfortable with doing so far. Oh and a coffee mug thing.
Hey y'all I just changed my fluid and filter and just thought I would share a few things about it. First The truck had been sitting for 5 days and I did not warm it up before hand and got 8 1/4 quarts out of it with the help of this LiquiVac - Do It Yourself Oil Change System, Oil Change...
Yep I just used regular wire to wire it to my aux switches, no harness. The aux switches in the truck already have relays and fuses installed, so no need for anything else.
Hey, I did get it installed and love it. I mounted it up almost exactly like the mbrp was. It is a bit louder and has more of a snarl at WOT then the mbrp. But surprisingly to me it is also quieter and has no drone at highway speeds and putting around town. Also it's called just the race venom...
Don't know about running two race venoms, but I noticed a sound reduction just by adding a 12" section and a down turn directly after the muffler. I had to add it to have a place for my second hanger, and was initially disappointed with how much noise I lost. But after driving it around a bit it...
Has anybody heard any clips of this new widow maker. I recently swapped out my mbrp turn down with a race venom, and love it but I probably would have tried a widow maker if I had known it was coming out. But anyways with the race venom I kept the mbrp resonator and it as no drone and is...
Thanks for the tip, I think I will keep be keeping it close to the stock location now that I got my old mbrp off yesterday. I even managed to get it off with out beating it up to bad. Now i am hoping to have the black widow on tonight when I get home.
I have a mbrp turn down before the axle with the resonator as of now but, plan on ditching the mbrp muffler for a black widow race venom, so I will be able to compare them by next week. But truthfully the mbrp is pretty nice, I just get bored and want to change it up. Right now I am looking for...
What's the plastic ring that goes on before the wheel? Do you mean something you put on before mounting the wheel or the beauty ring on the outside of the wheel its self.
Mine looked like that before I put on my JLT, but has been squeaky clean since installing mine. Maybe it has been like that since before you installed yours or you didn't get it emptied soon enough once.
Yeah it's the LGE mounts and I bought them used off of a member here and he said he just rattle canned them. And I just bolted them on. If I was going to weld them on I would ask to weld the entire upper stock mount up since the factory put a full bead on the outside welds and only tacks the inside.
Good to know, I need to buy one now since I noticed my passenger side hub smelled alittle burnt, and had some water and dirt in it when I changed my iwes. I think the gaskets on the iwe were starting to deteriorate and letting crap in from the back side.
Its not to tough to swap shocks with the tires still on, but u need to lift the truck some to make it easier to get them back on if you are swapping to 3.0s. The best way I have found to make it easier on yourself is to open the compression adjusters to make it easy for you to push the shock...
Just an update I got my leather in, and it looks great it is a perfect match to the rest of my theme.Install wasn't to bad as someone who doesn't do this kind of stuff, but i am positive it doesn't look as good as it could. But anyways here are a few pics.
