well got my truck back. issue was not the skid plate. their "chasis ears" could not pin point anything, even though the service advisor acknowledged the sound/vibration on the test drive. I may just buy new front shocks for 3700 installed as I love the truck and is way cheaper than trading it...
So mine is now in the shop for the third time. I am being told the likely culprit is the undercarriage skid plate vibrating. They said there is no fix from Ford and tried to give the truck back to me. I said to remove it to make sure that's the issue and then to get a ford engineer involved...
someone named Goldbeach on the clunking gen 3 suspension thread had his fox front "struts" replaced by the dealer and the clunk went away. taking mine to the dealer tomorrow, if they don't replace them I guess I'm gonna get rid of it.
bottom line is Raptor should feel soft over bumps. Not only is mine extremely hard over bumps, I feel a vibration after going over bumps esp at lower speeds. taking it in next week and my plan is to have all 4 shocks replaced. we will see....
