Speaking of which, if I were to simply change out my stock gen 1 springs to Deavers while keeping the original Fox 2.5 shocks, that's all I would need to do to eliminate wheel hop?

Ahh makes sense. Has this configuration been used in recent times? A previous poster said even pre-runner trucks don't abide by the staggered layout.
If not, why hasn't this been done more on later trucks?

I've noticed that the 2017 Raptors have the rear shocks mounted in different directions respective of the driver and passenger side rears. What's the justification for this design?
I ask this because on the Gen 1s (and every other truck I've seen) all have the rear shocks mounted in the same...
So what's with the assertion that both the Tundra and Raptor were stock? If they were indeed both stock, then how can one say that the Raptor is a more capable truck?
Brother I think I get what you're trying to say here, but my question was an honest one. To blame the Raptor finishing 3rd because of an incompetent driver is a bit of a reach.
All things equal (both trucks in stock form), the author states the Tundra finished first opposed to third. What...
According to the article, both the Raptor and Tundra TRD Pro completed the Baja 1000 in their stock form with Raptor finishing 3rd to Tundra's first place.
If this is true, then doesn't this give credence that Tundras are better than Raptors? I asked this question in another thread that I...
Man I was hoping you'd give a different response lol. It's just a matter of time due to wear and tear driving on pavement it sounds like.
I wonder if a broken shaft after normal wear and tear has happened to a good number of raptor owners in general. It'd be nice if there were any mitigating...
A few over the weekend
1) Oxford White SCREW at I-10/Eldridge on Tuesday 12/20
2) Red SCREW at Santa's Wonderland in College Station Tuesday 12/20
3) Black SCREW on Grand Parkway/TX-99 north Tuesday 12/20
That's a good question. That tint was done by the Ford dealership I bought it from. I have no idea what percentage it is.
I will say the rear window was recently replaced for the rear defroster under warranty and they factory tinted the replacement.

I'm biased but in my opinion, the gen 1 raptors take the cake aesthetically. They are the best looking production trucks I have ever seen.
This means that it is my opinion that the Gen 1s are better looking than the Gen 2. Ford nailed it perfectly with the Gen 1.
In addition to the 6.2...
Yeah, I really doubt the amber light indicator has burnt out.
One way to confirm, is see if your rear window defrosts when you press the button.
Either way, from my recent experiences, it appears you will need to have the rear window replaced. It's great that you are under warranty, it...
I just had this issue just before Thanksgiving. I had Ford Customer Service contact the dealer to cover the rear defrost window replacement under warranty.
I was told that the contact points of the rear window were not properly engaged, so they just replaced the rear defrost window.

With all the great things I've heard about Raptors on here, it's evident that it has its share of issues (some not such a small deal).
Kinda takes away from the "greatness" of the truck if the 4wd system is so fragile.
