2019 they will release 5.0 as the base motor in the raptor and keep the ecoboost as the higher end option with a bump in horsepower to about 470hp and 550lbs of torque. People will sell their 2017-18 ecoboost versions and buy the less powerful v8 because it's a v8 and it goes vrooom vs ffffart...
Same thing in the military. As a military pilot, when we get a new aircraft from the factory, we end up doing a precautionary landing within the first 50 hours due to some failing system.
You didn't drill a weephole did you.
Probably little fluid from the factory, or a air bubble, or a hose fitting came loose and you lost some fluid. Could even be a turbo seal or a heafgasket worst case scenario. Your coolant is pretty hot there, hopefully you got stopped in time before you...
Mine does this too. And yup it's the wastegate actuators. Does it on both sides. On mine if you turn only accessory power on they stay on as long as power is installed
My last raptor had it's Dearborn sticker for 50,000 miles and still had it the day I sold it. I fact I told the buyer part of the deal was that he wasn't aloud to take the sticker off or no deal.
The Day I climbed it with my gen 1, didn't make it up the steepest hill becuse my rear end would drag on the entry angle so I couldn't even start the climb. The next steepest one, I didn't make it after two tries because I keep spinning out. I had to hit it with speed and carry my momentum. It...
Holy Crap! I freaked out this morning when you pointed that out. Ran out to my truck to find my camber just perfect. So yes it was my phone camera distorting the image.
I took it on a 3 mile Baja style trail (in the youtube links below below some of the phots). I was going pretty slow but...
Okinawa actually. But I broke my helicopter in Iwakuni and stayed there for a week. You live there? That place is the nice. (since the F-35 money arrived.)
Pretty much took emergency leave from work in order to take delivery of my 2017 Raptor. I live in San Diego county but had it delivered to Las Vegas to avoid having to pay taxes to California and register in my home state of Idaho.
Flew via airliner this morning to Las Vegas and picked up my...
The Day has finally arrived. I'm picking up my Raptor today. Flying from San Diego to Vegas to pick it up. Excited to get it, not excited for Ford dealership incompentancy.
How long will it take from my arrival to driving the truck off the lot? My guess is 3 hours.
Anyone ever buy a Wagner IC for an ecoboost. By size and appearance it seems to have the largest surface area in the stock mounting location. What do you guys think?
Also, does anyone know if the stock ic fans are compatible with this product?
2017 F150 Raptor 3.5L HO ECOBOOST WAGNER EVO...
120 for a short period in my G1 all stock with a limiter removed. That's pretty much all she could do. Tire ratings are primarily determined by the speed at which friction causes too much heat for the tire to remain stable and thus the tread component quickly breaks down. Short bursts for a few...
95 percent it's a turbo seal. Esp going through water with hot turbos, the instant change from hot to cold will cause issues. especially with new turbos where the metal hasn't shrunk and stretch for thousands of miles.
My old eco boost would smoke a little on start up, but it'd would go away...
Thanks I hope so. Hopefully my dash hasn't completely melted by now in the 120 degree weather. Yup, you have a nice choice in gen 2 configuration yourself!
If you didn't have an intercooler a short initial pull on a cold day after letting the truck reach its operating temp would probably yield similar numbers to an intercooled truck on the same day. But as you hold continued boost and do multiple pulls everything gets hotter, with no intercooler...
