Got my new shoes installed today, Method Roost with Nitto Ridge Grapplers 37x12.5r17. I have Geisers front and rear, rubbed a bit so I trimmed 1/8” - 3/16” off the pinch weld behind the front wheels. Have to clean it up a bit but works for now!
Got my 37’s on today! I did Geiser springs front and rear. Wheels are method Roost with Nitto Ridge Grapplers 37x12.5r17. I did have to trim a bit, maybe took 1/8-3/16” off the pinch weld behind the front wheels. Going to clean it up a bit but spray painted black for now so it all blends in (kinda).
Thank you! I use the bed quite often so I'll have to figure out the spare situation. I know I have read everywhere that the 37" KO2 fits with room to spare (No pun intended) so I assumed the Nitto would fit, just with less room.
Thanks again for all the help, my Ridge Grapplers are en route to...
Much appreciated! I love how they look a bit more aggressive then the KO2's. I also have had quite a few sets of them, never had any issues. Thanks again!
Off-topic question here but what Nitto's specifically did you go with? I have the stock bead locks also and was thinking of going 37's. Would you happen to any pictures if the fitment/stance with the Nittos? I know the KO2's fit well, just going through my options.
Pretty straight forward, the two longer back bolts have a spacer that goes above the skid plate (held on with the bolts you are removing) so that may be the only semi tough part, lining that back up when re-installing.
I just plastidipped mine along with the front bumper piece, looks way...
Yup they work fine, not sure if a heavier coat would affect them or not. Could always peel that small section off, you would just have silver “dots” in the center.
Thanks! Matte black plastidip, I used almost 2 spray cans to get a few coats on both the bumper and skid plate. I removed the 3 lower portions (the lower grille and plastic piece on either side) they are just held on with push clips. Everything else I just used blue tape.
Installed a Cobb factory location IC, plastidipped the lower front bumper piece (to match the R) along with the skid plate, added red tow hooks and installed the Baja dual 10” kit in the front grille. Productive 2 days!
