I have the Autostop eliminator. It works great.
Forscan method is cheap but from what I read it shuts down the battery management system as a side effect, which I didn't want to do.
Trailer module unplug method screws up the trailer lights if you tow (which I do) so that was a no go either.
Has anyone retrofitted a bed step/applique delete tailgate to their Gen2 Raptor?
I would like to do this project. A buddy of mine owns a body shop, he can get the tailgate and hardware at cost and paint it for me. I would do the installation myself.
It looks like the parts cost isn't too...
To make this more confusing the 150/250/350/1500/2500/3500 means nothing anymore. Many of those trucks that are called 1500 now rated at 1800lbs, 2000lbs, 2300lbs, etc. At this point it's just a "ballpark" and historical name. The Raptor, of course, is rated lower due to the Baja suspension...
Coming to the Raptor from an XC90 T8 - I like the Raptor's heated wheel I think it heats up fast, warms your hands, then stays at a lower maintenance temperature on it's own. I found the XC90's to always be burn your hands hot or barely warm and I was constantly adjusting it. There's a lot of...
Correct as said above the tailgate plate comes with the ramp kit and you have to install it. A Raptor without the ramps as a factory option would not have the tailgate plate included. Sounds like the Ebay seller sold you an incomplete ramp kit that was missing the tailgate plate.

My 2019 was fresh off the truck. It was a coincidence that I stopped by the dealer in May 2019 to see if they had any Raptors and they were unloading the truck right in front of the dealer with a Raptor spec'd out exactly how I would have special ordered it. Needless to say I made a deal on it...
You can have mine, send me a PM. I took them out and put Weathertechs in after less than 100 miles. Yours for cheap. I'd love to get the box out of my basement.
From what I can see 17682 is for the complete right hand mirror and 17683 is for the complete left hand mirror.
That being said the mirrors are different depending on what options your truck has. Part number 17683 is listed multiple times at different prices depending on the options.

Just had the first big snowstorm here since I've had my Raptor. I found the K02's to be fine in snow. The truck likes to understeer...a solid dose of throttle and unwinding the wheel a little bit sticks the rear when it happens.
Suspension is the weak point on the Raptor for towing. The engine and driveline and frame are stronger and more powerful than any other F-150 so you are more than fine there.
WDH is essential. WDH + Airbags on the rear is best.
Here is the thread that includes my custom rear airbag system...
I agree that 3.4 is obnoxiously bright in day mode. I started running it in night mode all the time and unlike v3.3 the night mode is plenty bright during the daytime and the color skins match the truck much better.
Still amazing that Ford has not done anything to coordinate the skins between...
Grand Junction or Fruita would be closest in CO to Moab. Summit County/Eagle County areas would be more fun as far as summer activities for the family.
LOL the Aztec is exactly what I was thinking.
Tesla is going to find out what being a real automaker is like now that they are exiting the Prius crowd with their lineup.
I agree with you, I like the new styling and fonts which look more modern but the blue buttons are a bit much. Not really that bad but it's a trade off for the updated look I guess.
One thing I have never liked both on the old and new version is Ford has made no effort whatsoever to coordinate...
Did the upgrade to 3.4 tonight on my 2019. Easy to upgrade but at first my Sirius XM would not work. When I tried to select XM by hitting the XM button on the touchscreen nothing would happen.
I did a reboot (hold power and >>) then drove around the block and XM picked up the Demo channel...
The 10 speed is great with an MPT transmission tune. I don't like how it shifts stock form...shifting 1-3-5-7 is super annoying b/c with the Ecoboost engine you hit the turbo lag when skipping a gear and that results in a power delay such as when coasting around a corner and wanting to...
So back when I started this thread Husky's website said the liners did not fit the Raptor. I bought the F-150 liners and tried to adapt them, which is what others on the forum here said they had done in other threads about this topic.
Now I see they have a part number for the Raptor...
I tried to install a set on my 2019. They fit terribly. I ended up trashing them. I removed the wheels and fender flares. Trimmed them around the shocks. Still would not fit up to my standards. Went with 3M undercoating instead. Liners were a waste of time and money.
It's worth...
