If you are making such a long trek, may I recommend Pony Express and Mammoth. Those 2 trips are 3 days long and I can make additional maps for you to make it a 4 day. Or maps for you to have a "detour" on the way home HAHA
Ok so here is the really skinny now. Talked to a few people in areas involved.
1) if you run long tubes and even with cats, you must run a tune to code them to either A. be gone or B. be de-tuned as flow volume is so high.
2) running 02 spacers is not advised
For the idle issue, I wanted to...
There is no tune needed for the intake.
Also if you plan on offroading a lot I would get the paper filter as it offers better filtration. The cloth one is more street use only. I have tested both and even S&B will tell you this.
Also this intake does not fit correctly if you install the PSS...
1) If the main body is not leaking you do not need to replace the O ring on them. Those failing are very very rare so no need to spend time and money on them. 1 front 2 rear.
2) The easiest way to put the O-Rings on is to put oil on the seal and the shaft then walk the seal on. They will not...
Ignore him. He is still mad about last time we tried he had to heard a lexus for day 1. There are jumps, whoops and 5 miles of flat out speed on a lake bed.
Possibly. If they take you your truck will be given to Trick Raptor =)
Um there is lots O jumps. Who said no jumps. There is also the 5 miles of lake bed SPEEDDDD.
4.56 is a safe bump for long haul street use with good offroad performance for 37s
4.88 is the highest street use gear but owners I hear complain on the decrease in range more than exacted as well as puts RPM into drone range for some exhausts.
Pick one as you can't go wrong. Less think more buy
If you are doing mostly road then 4.56.
4.88 is if you do more dirt.
With 37 the net gain of 4.56 is a 3% increase in traction effort. Obviously more if you stay on 35. 4.88 means you are at high revs eating fuel. I have to drive a minimum of 2 hours to go play in desert so that adds up over...
If cats were blown it would technically be an open exhaust. The O2 sensors were not fowled when I pulled them.
I will be working on the truck this week to clean the 1 extension wire and 2 call stainless works to as WTF. Again working with several variables so need to start checking off one by...
Correct tune was never set to have rears off. I did ask.
As noted I am aware rears only check if cats are damaged
No leaks that we can find and the muffler shop has also checked and seen nothing.
Maf cleaned after each run.
Been through all the normal's.
I have tried the following for both the Idle and O2 issue.
4 tunes from SVC
Reverted back to stock tune
Removed S&B intake and installed stock intake
Cleared all codes with SCT and Ford scanner
Battery has been off for hours
The 2 issues still persist. I will post a video of the idle hunt...
Installed the short spacer and still got the check engine light.
I am going to try cleaning the 02 wire extension to see if that is the issue. The connector is not sealed WTF so with all the mud and crap it might be the issue.
Also ordering new 02 sensors to replace both to see maybe one is...
Difference is you did not get "probed" at Fly Geyser. When they catch you , well you know, bad things happen.
So unless you are into that sort of thing...
