Best thing to do is plan a group trip the Baja Days event or Wyoming Trails event. Each day is 3 days of open desert and LOTS of trails. Closets open land I to you for long open runs.
Forest runs will not compare once you try open desert.
Closets event ROC has near you guys that are not on a...
If you are able I would use Brian's idea and see different setups and find the one that rides best to you. Then buy that kit and take it to a installer like Evil or Fordge. They offer parts but their main job is to fix things and get you on the trail with new things. Just my 2 cents that I have...
$500 is the base but in 90% of the cases the shocks need refinishing and lower bushings. Then there is the bleed screws so on average a rebuild in the exchange is 700ish plus.

They made them and most people who buy them are in the exchange program. There is no additional noise as if you run 3.0's it is the same design. Only difference is does not wear out as fast. But they will wear out in time.
So noise none, longer life yes.
For anyone interested. I have a set of 9 out of 10 condition shocks that Forged will rebuild as part of exchange program. I am asking $600 and can drop them off and they will rebuild them and send you that set to exchange with yours.
If interested PM me.
Hello all,
I have been talking to several steering rack builders about addressing the issues with the the steering rack. For those who don't know the issue with the steering rack is because they are mass produced (obvious) but also use the body as the shaft brace. This causes flex as well as...
Yes, 3.0 and sever plus 2 is what the truck should have had from factory.
Going to thar setup will make the truck feel and drive better. Cheapest route is just rebuild shocks but you will never get the performance of a larger shock.
The bolt can be reused, the nylock is why they say to change it. However reusing them so far has not shown any issues.
The longer bolts has a longer shank where the strength is. Some stores actually carry a grade 8 bolt you could use. I don't have any association with forged so I would reach...
Flutter dampens wheel hope. So if street only make the shocks work better for the little bumps.
If there is no signs of leaking then you are fine if only street use. Fox has intervals on their shocks as noted on the website. Average idea for street only is around the 60-75K range you should...

Yes shafts sometimes need to be replaced. Rears are the most common that need replacing.
Front lower bushings are another common item that needs to be replaced.
