Yes, 3.0 and sever plus 2 is what the truck should have had from factory. Going to thar setup will make the truck feel and drive better. Cheapest route is just rebuild shocks but you will never get the performance of a larger shock.

Yes shafts sometimes need to be replaced. Rears are the most common that need replacing. Front lower bushings are another common item that needs to be replaced.
