Awesome rig. I also have a Terrian and plan to do the same. Any regrets, tips or trips? Going under the knife next week! Also, I see you put a aftermarket front bumper... would you recommend doing front and rear OR just rear?
I don't have any recos but I can speak to Anzo products, they're absolutely dogsh*t. Their CS team were zero help when I complained the seals on my lights started to fall apart and leak, and it was at the tail-end of my 1 year warranty. The only option they provided was to return the lights to...
Think you should pay a bit more and get a 13/14 with higher miles. Got 115k miles on mine and its running like a champ. Take it off road once a month, ONLY thing rattling is the Roll N Lock tonneau cover. Major service (over the past 5K miles) included fluids, spark plugs, steering pump (Lee's)...
Personally, I believe there is added value for a final production year(s) model. Think the value is purely based on market demand.
Like I said, if someone is *willing* to pay $30k+, why not *consider* Raps with the latest upgrades, cosmetic or mechanical.
Had Evil Manufacturing install a Lee’s PS pump + bypass. Had plans on using Amsoil fluid, but Lee recently came out with a bulletin stating any warranty would be voided if Lee or Motocraft fluid wasn’t used. It’s slightly louder than OEM.
If you plan on dropping $30K+, you should be looking for a '13 and '14.
‘12 or earlier... shouldn’t be paying any more than $25K, regardless of mileage.
Just my 2 cents
It’s a new model everyone is getting a hard-on for, you have zero leverage. Their offer isn’t a ‘good deal’. In fact, you’ll probably never file a warranty claim for the first several years. If you REALLY want the Gen 3 NOW... grind on the sticker price.
Since it isn’t a highly sought after ‘13 to ‘14 and your considering a soon to be outdated [emoji895], I see less headache with teaching ur son to drive a wide-body, full size... not to mention fun-as-f*ck.... one of a kind Raptor.
