Well...my wife and I are doing something similar in the near future but we aren't selling everything. For us we want every option available. Off road exploration, campground, etc, etc. We want no limits on where we decide to go or where we decide to explore. If cost isn't a consideration you...
Every single comment except for Teghogh so far is ordinary incompetence. You don't need to look very hard to know that...unless your mall crawling...37s will rub. The worst part is that you will be stressing your suspension in ways that it wasn't designed for...parts will wear or break much...
There is so much more going on than the weight difference. As others have said the larger engine and components make up the bulk of the difference. The truck is not balanced meaning it's nose heavy. It's a first year attemp...by fiat...means watch out...it's not Baja proven like the raptor and...
I don't have the box dimensions but at the time it was built the measurements were very slightly larger than JL recommends for a dual 10" setup. As I said, They custom built it to fit behind the seat and had to make a couple design changes along the way to allow the seat to fully fold up...
I had car yoys build a custome case supporting 2 10TW3's. Full seat articulation and has been fantastic. I retained full use of the floor and have awesome base. My box is not ported so I get accurate bass reproduction....porting will give you a different kind of bass and only you know which is...
Don't listen to the sheeple that suggest Deaver/Eibach. Do yourself a HUGE favor and don't listen to anyone on this forum about suspension for anything other than brand. Call Deaver or Icon directly and ask to speak to a tech. Your suspension is personal and your use case is specific to you...
You are so wrong. You may have experience with Alcantara in some other car but not the Raptor. The stuff they put in there is bullet proof. I know people that have had more problems with their Raptor seat leather than the Alcantara. All Alcantara isn't the same.
I don't know what kind of Alcantara you had but the stuff in the Raptor is bullet proof. Been wet plenty of times and still looks new. I wouldn't worry about water but I would be careful what kind of chemicals you use.
If you are staying with an AT tire then you already have the best money can buy. The KO2s are the best all round AT tire for the Raptor. It amazes me how many opinions are extreme. Everything from garbage to best tire ever made. Nonsense. If your hearing is so sensitive that you can tell the...
Whatever premium your truck is worth right now will be more than eaten up by the dealer markup on the Raptor R. Everything is relative.
I'm in the same boat. Mine's a fully loaded 19....Paid off. It's carrying about a 5k resale premium due to current demand. If I sold it I'd turn around and eat...
If you think the Gen1 was more aggressive looking than the Gen2 you are looking at pictures of unicorns my friend...LOL...The Gen 1 was nice...the Gen 2 was finally a muscle truck and the gen 3 is more capable but they dumbed it down a bit...kinda like the Gen 1...bad ass truck except for the...
Sound over performance. Nice man. You'll do well with a fiat...all show no go....unless it's a drag strip. Fiat will earn my respect when they run their stock truck through baja then drive it home like the Gen 2 Raptor did. That kind of credibility will escape Fiat until they step up and run...
Just make sure you think about all of your use cases. THe suggestion you receive will depend on how you describe what you are trying to do. Make sure to think about all the different things you will use the truck for and discuss all the compromises as there won't be a one size fits all solution...
Maybe...and this is what I'm talking about. I also wanted to carry 500lb and they DID NOT suggest what you did. The pre packaged leaf packs are considered progressive and the stock spring packs are considered 2 stage. Sometimes a progressive is appropriate, sometimes a progressive, sometimes a...
The folks on this forum are great at suspension brand suggestions but really really really suck at configuration. Your best bet is to call Icon and/or Deaver and talk to their tech...describe what you want to accomplish and take their suggestion...maybe cross check with a local suspension...
Leaf spring upgrades and bump stop upgrades are two completely different things. One does not necessitate the other.
Based on your question I'd suggest contacting Deaver or Icon directly and speak to their tech about what you are trying to accomplish. Take their guidance over people on this forum.
Wait for the numbers to be published...there just might be an HP increase although the truck is already powerful enough to me. THere is power then there is usable power. I consider Gen 2 at the top end of usable power give or take depending on the situation.
Soooo...EVERY SINGLE THING on the truck is an improvement except looks. I mean everything and you aren't sold. Not sure what it would take to please you. This is a bigger upgrade than it was from gen 1 to gen 2. stock 37s? coil rear, more travel and clearance and on and on and on. Yeah the new...
I just can't love the front end. Never cared for the Gen 1 front...loved the Gen 2 front and now the gen3 is something inbetween and it's definitely not as good as the Gen 2. EVERYTHING else though is awesome and while I'm definitely not a leadfoot fan I do agree it's better than the red.
