We will be on channel GLRE1 on our way down CT95 - NY287-NJ78 - PA81, and I forget the rest.
Also, will be running live GPS location updates on MotionX channel 49085, if you want to see where are along our route.
Once I get consensus from the NE Raptors on when we are leaving will put out...
And be careful you don't hit defrost while running offroad with AC recirc on. You will will get a face full of dust as Defrost shuts down recirc......from experience; -)
With some of our runs spreading out 15 miles through the mountains, I am looking for a signal booster for my truck mounted radio. In the CB days we used to call them linears. The 65watts ain't cutting it.
Any recommendation for the VHF/UHF units we typically use? An additional 100Watts...
A lot of options and solutions already, but I will add my own experience with 'squeak' from the rear. Considering age of vehicle I would have the rear shock bolts torqued to 400 ft lbs (spec) and grease drive shaft yolk. Good things to do anyway.
Progressive torquing of leaf spring mounts...
Welcome! I and some of the other NE Raptors would be game to come your way for some trail riding. Most of my time in the DAKs has been camping, climbing and hunting and would love to do some trails up your way.
Finally moved the 30" around to the front since everyone bitched about being too bright during the DD2 run and added two rear facing 7" lights for visibility in its stead.
Like Jimbo, I LinX'd front bumper (modified stock) but haven't gotten to fenders and rear bumper yet.
As to your other question, I am very glad I didn't go Black (which is what I originally ordered). Definitely stays cleaner looking and doesn't show scratching as much when offroading.
Ask OrangeAddict :ROFLJest:
As SilentShooter said - it happens all the time when offroading. Could be mud, snow, shit, whatever...but truck always seems to find it
