The short answer is any tune will give Ford the right to deny a claim if the failure is related to it.
That said, most people don’t run into problems. But it is a risk.
It was a huge upgrade from the 2000 Lightning I traded in :)
I guess with the name B&O you expect something special, but it is just average. Not bad but it isn’t going to turn any heads.
I always look for how long it’s been on the lot. For example, if it’s an early 2019, that’s a long time and just increases the chances that it’s been test driven a bunch. Conversely, an early 2019 with no miles isn’t great either if it’s just been sitting outside dormant.
I guess everyone has their own comfort level. To me, driving it home doesn’t include a trip for dinner and potential fries between the seats.
I know my answer going forward if I’m in a similar situation.
I noticed one of my fender markers was out in the first week of owning my 2019. It could have been out when I purchased it and didn’t notice. An hour at the dealership and it was fixed under warranty.
I think you are reading that backwards. I read it to say any territories outside of those, which means PR is in. But, there could be a clause somewhere that says you have to service it in the territory where you bought it.
Try Bickford Ford in Snohomish. It would be interesting if another dealer in WA gives you the same answer. I’ve never heard of us held to CA restrictions - although it wouldn’t shock me.
