Most likely applied by robot. Incredibly consistent finishes, but if the settings are off, oh boy... that means a LOT of trucks have some thin-a55 paint. Yikes.
I drive 100mi or 150mi each day (depending on what plant I'm going to) over some of the worst roads in the nation. The Raptor is the best daily I've ever had.
The loss of last radio setting on start-up thing is my biggest gripe, honestly. I have no idea if it can be fixed or if anyone has tried. It doesn't do it because the truck has been off, either.... I've got back in the truck and all is set as it was (sirius playing same channel I was listening...
So are the fender flares and trim matte black now? Or are they still a magnetic gray hue? Sorry if it's a Gen3 thing... I guess I just never noticed until this thread. :)
I had an 2002 that I bought new. Loved that thing. Had to move back to the Communist Frozen Tundra (Michigan), so I sold it and bought a Superduty. The Lightning was my wifes favorite truck.
Mine was tuned by Black's in Casselberry, FL. It was stout, but not that stout!

Don't get me wrong, I feel for the owner (and you) in all of that mess. But, at the end of the day, the $15,000 should come from the owner of the vehicle before the mechanics lean is lifted. You DO have a mechanics lean on the vehicle, don't you?
