Yep, did that this morning. I hasn't rained in weeks here and has been hot. It poured this morning and the roads were super greasy. It helps keep things in line for sure.
Just peel SLOWLY and keep the peeled portion at an acute angle to the stuck portion as you peel. That tends to release the adhesive a little easier and there's less risk of tearing (that's a pain in the butt when come off in little peices).
100% agree here. It's a truck. Body on frame, live axle rear... truck. Especially unloaded, they are gonna dance around.
There's a spot on US31 by me where they have replaced chunks of concrete in regular increments (cutting out whole sections about 4' long all the way across the lane and...
I was in the same boat a few weeks ago. Chose to spend a little more and got a Gen2 (2018, 60k miles). The overall truck is just better. The transmission was worrisome when I test drove it. The stock shift patterns in the 10speed trans are schizophrenic in stock form. But I found this site and...
Same. But, they have been boom and bust their whole lives (my Mom and Dad). They even had to live in my basement for 6 months a few years ago. haha
I've been up a couple times in life. Something always happens to knock me back down again (currently expecting the arrival of my 4th "once in a...
Changed the oil for the first time last night and experienced what you all are talking about here. My truck is leveled in the front. And yep, all the oil came out the back drain hole in the skid.
It’s a real pain to get everything cleaned out without taking the skid plates off. So I’ll be...
Hole in the intercooler (rotted out circuit somewhere or a split in the plastic housing), or slit in an intercooler tube elbow is my guess.
Good luck! Hope you find it!
The girl that always parks next to me in the parking lot at work drives a clapped out Civic. The approx 1” round notch at the trailing edge of her drivers door is getting bigger, and bigger by the day.
My old jeep was peppered with dings from that *******’s Civic.
The first thing I was going...
Is the Krytox the only option at $24 for 0.5oz tube? Or has anyone used SIL-Glyde ($9.50 for 4oz tube) and got a similar result? I'm assuming the idea behind Krytox is 100% PTFE?
Hahaha no, you made a demand “ditch the oiled filter blah blah blah”. So go “keyboard warrior” someplace else. Or block me. That would be better. Nice ta meetcha! You are my first block on here. Congrats!
That's not it, huh? OOoh, maybe you're one of those guys that wheels his rig on the weekends and changes his filter "religiously" every 6000 miles. :emotions33:
I see you were a Harley Ed. owner before this. I was a Viper truck owner.... clearly, we are going to get along just fine! lmao
Been running K&N on boosted vehicles for decades. I'll take a look through the threads to see what the issue is on these particular trucks. Couldn't possibly be due to someone over-oiling their filter, could it?
Hi Everyone! Looking forward to getting to know these trucks and meeting some people. I've been a Jeep person for the last 12 years or so. Ford truck guy before that (F250, 2nd Gen Lightning, Etc). This Raptor is going to be my daily. Loving it so far. First mod was Cobb tuner with TCM and wow...
Coming from the Jeep WK2 community, we dealt with lots of exploding glass roofs. Some identified aftermarket tint as a culprit. But, the issue wasn't exclusive to tinted roof panels. I believe it was the quality/manufacturing of the glass.
Fords have been doing the big glass roof on several...
