About 500 miles into driving my new 2002 Ford Lightning I felt something hit my foot. The main bolt that connects the steering shaft to the steering wheel fell out and was laying on the floor mat.
I look both ways crossing a one-way street now.....
Ripatuned is legit. But, I'm very surprised there is no dyno sheet. They had to have tuned this thing on a dyno. If they didn't, RUN don't walk away.
There was a company called STS that made a rear-mount turbo setup like this for the SRT10 back in the day. It was responsible for killing many...
I think I'm picking up what you mean. When I use the |< >| buttons on the steering wheel, it changes the XM station TO THE NEXT PRESET XM STATION. I really wish that it just tuned to the next station in line instead of the presets.
I have no idea if there is a setting you can change or not. I...
To be fair, I don't think there is any good way to get out of these things without sliding out of the seat. So even if you are a feather-weight boxer :boxing:, that bolster will take some abuse.
My guess is the foam is cheap and doesn't have good shape memory. Typical for an american made...
Yes. :fc5716bd:
But, I can appreciate the work that's gone into the fabrication! Even when I was into stereos, I never understood the DB guys basically disintegrating their vehicle by sound (on purpose). But, man, the ingenuity and long hours of fabrication is crazy. Nice work! That box looks...
Awesome! Did you just order the replacement foam from the dealer? Is it the usual pain in the a** of hog rings, clips, and rods for disassembly and reassembly?
Bought mine with 60k miles and the drivers side left bolster is flat as Heidi Klum's bum.
Hmm... where is the trucked parked normally? Closed garage? Car Port? Driveway? Barnyard?
Sounds like there may be a short in a few places from a critter of some kind. Just a guess though (one I've seen a few times. But, I'm just a dumb farm hick. ;) )
Ah, I see. Unfortunately, they either did a matte clearcoat or its just single stage paint with a flattener added.
In both scenarios, if you attempt to polish it out, you will make it shiny. That would not be ideal, because then you would need to polish the rest of the fender flares to match.
Not really sure what you're asking about on the fender. I kinda look blotchy (but might be the photo lighting). Or are you talking about the scratch?
(The thread you referenced was about a Gen1 flare. They both different material and finish than the Gen2's I believe)
