Finished my 7 day road trip to Wyoming to see some family, then detoured down to Colorado for the same thing. Went from 80 degrees in Alabama to -8 in Wyoming. Stupid cold. My low was 10.5 and high was 15.2 mpg with the below average. This included in and around driving as well. Now I have to...
I think a lot of it has to due with the weather, and it’s been stupid crazy lately. We just went from near freezing temps to damn near 70 degrees the next day? Obviously Mother Nature has been drinking.
I believe it’s perfectly normal. There is actually a few spots (drain holes?) on our exhaust that make me do a double take with the amount of water that comes out sometimes. Just yesterday I noticed the water trail I left out of the garage and down the driveway and was like dang, made me stop...
So I was able to snap this picture this morning. I have always gotten a lot of mileage out of my Ford trucks, but this has been highest to date. It’s also the best truck I’ve owned. Here’s hoping I can catch up to @ogdobber
My understanding is it won’t really affect it. The issue is with lead frame components like the speed sensor. I think the only way to truly fix it from happening would be to at least put the foam gasket on the terminals, but you have to take it apart, so might as well change out to the new lead...
I should clarify that I rarely hear it, and its been awhile since I have. But I will say I feel like when I did hear it was only towards the end when my oil life.
Mine does this on occasion, believe it or not it’s considered normal. (as long as it goes away within 10 seconds or so). It has something to do with waiting for the oil pressure to build up for the lash adjuster. I only hear it for a few seconds when my truck as sat for a day or two in the cold.
I have noticed the new F-150 truck lights blinding me when coming at me. Actually it seems it’s a lot of these new vehicles headlights appear to be driving with their high beams on, only to find out they have them on dim. After market Jeep headlights are my nemesis currently as I find them the...
I’ve always found it amusing to see Raptor drivers concerned about MPG. Thanks to a forum member, back in March I started using this app and although I am not happy with the costs associated with filling up the beast, I do so gladly. Besides all I need to survive is money for is beer and gas.
Well in that case I don’t know. Typically you would think either a stuck (now unstuck) caliper or something lodged between the pad and rotor (like debris). Maybe it couldn’t handle your “Bo Duke” hard braking?
Good luck, that’s one of those systems where I would have to break down and take it to Ford to fix. As with anything I just prepare myself for the cost it’s going to be. (It helps if you bring your own lube, lol)
Passed 250k last weekend. Rotated the tires and discovered I need new front brake pads. I was like what?!? Didn’t I just replace those? Just looked it up and I did replace them……80,000 miles ago!
