Dropped it off this morning to get some new tires (OEM) installed and the transmission fluid changed (59k miles on her). Just found out I will be driving the wife's SUV to work tomorrow. At least until they can figure out why it won't move now. I'm sure it's something stupid, no worries. Tires...
A word of advice in case you didn't know, only use 100% gas in that pressure washer. Nothing kills a carburetor faster in small engines than ethanol blend. Of course it took me 1 mower, 3 weed eaters and 2 pressure washers until I switched to 100%. Haven't had any issues since.
Quick update, my buddies '11 Ecoboost (I had metioned earlier in this thread) had a piston come apart yesterday. There he sat at the Von Braun center in a puddle of oil and smoke. Sad thing was it only had 50k miles on it. He is still waiting to see if his warranty will cover it has it had mods...
Well that's kind of freaky, no? Still that's kind of weird. Weird because I'm sure someone is like why is that guy sticking that key to his chin? Personally I feel ridiculous doing it, but it works so what can you do?
I topped off today and was like what, that can't be right? Turns out it was. I'm liking it. As a daily driver I get around 15.1 (currently). Does anybody else notice if you leave your instant MPG screen up you get better MPG than if you don't display it or is that just me?
Look I get what your saying. A co-worker has a 2011 Ecoboost that has been modified to the exact components from a Gears TV show "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkqDDxsiCLE" that I turned him on to. He runs 35's on his stock 18" rims and can smoke me head to head on the street. But off road...
My dashcam has caught me at my best and at my worst. (Mostly at my worst) Unfortunately I have to bag it before I get on base for work. Bottom line it's not always welcome everywhere, especially on military installations. Funny thing is bagging it means putting a black baby sock on it before I...
Of note is that on two occasions during an attempt to remote start the truck, well it kind of died on me. It was like some sort of failed start. It attempted to start but quickly didn't. For the record I'm making the sounds in my head as I try to type this. I can't figure out how to elaborate...
If I'm to understand correctly, leaking=bad, seeping=sometimes normal. Dealing with aircraft this tends to be the case. So with that said a slight seep could be normal, leaking is never normal or okay. I remember my 92 F150 would leave a drop of oil on the driveway from the rear main at the...
Funny, I was just complaining about this last week. A co worker with an FX4 can remote start his from the door just out of the building to the parking lot, which is about 100 ft away. I can't get mine to work until I get within around the 30 ft range. So embarrassing.
FYI mine have the same residue, not as thick as your photos though. Luckily I don't have the clunking. I first noticed it around the 15k mile mark. I'm nearing the 50k mark now with no issues.
I know it's not for everyone, but I love mine. In fact I used it to eyeball a classic UH-1H Iroquois fly over me today. It's the little things that enlighten me. Womp Womp Womp, sorry I went in to remembrance mode.
That's so weird. I haven't had any problems with my Roll X. Quite frankly, I'm a happy customer. I did have to modify the gap at the front of the bed to ensure a tight/snug fit, but I chocked it down to a Raptor thing. Too those that have had problems, please note, that I don't treat my truck...
I think the grill without the FORD looks cool, I like it. ( From hence forth I shall recommend it to all my FX4 friends) Honestly I have a buddy with an FX4 and I'm so showing him this picture.
As silly as this sounds, just get in another vehicle (or walk if you have to) at night, of course and approach your Raptor parked on the street (at least 150 yards away) with your "fog lights" on and see if they blind you? You might be surprised. One may be off and pissing the oncoming traffic...
