2 year olds will tear up some stuff, but twins, wow!? Hope it’s a easy fix for you. Funny thing is getting fixed would of prevented the twins, lol. Kidding of course.
These had 62k+ miles on them and were a little cupped on the inside. Can’t say I’ve seen cupping like yours on the outside. Then again I religiously rotate every 5k and try and keep them balanced and aligned as it’s my DD.
This ^^ it was the first thing I saw as well. I suspect the alignment has been off a while and once the tires get cupped you either deal with it or replace. I guess you could hot knife them even, but who really does that? You could try rotating them if the backs aren’t cupped to see if that helps?
Congratulations on retirement and moving to what some people think as the #1 place in the US (LOL). Retired Army (2011) myself, but was Navy brat growing up, hopefully I will see you around.
I’ve lost track of how many RC Raptors I have now, everything from Walmart specials to Losi, Traxxas, & 4x4RC ones. I just picked up a Stampede so I can put a Gen 1 body on it last month and found this Gen 3 at Tractor Supply for less than $80! I haven’t seen that one the OP posted, but I need...
So many times in my life when working on something and I see something like this, it makes me want to go slap an engineer and say “You put it there, now you replace it!”
Hmm, I did not do this when I replaced mine, but it is obvious I need to because when I turn in my AC I now have to go to the screen and put it on a mode or it will actuate over and over until I select something
Great build thread, looking forward to your progress. However I would like to chime in and say that no matter what you come up with, do NOT go with the name “Blue Falcon”! Nobody likes a Bravo Foxtrot, especially military. LOL!
I need to get 4 new tires within the week or so, got over 65k on my General Grabber ATX’s but I’m leaning back to KO2’s. Ford was $40 cheaper a tire than Discount last time I checked locally, but I feel your pain. The prices on everything have been horrible. If there was only someone I could...
So nobody wonders why the coils are failing? Bad manufacturing? Poor quality? I was under the impression you have to have a lot of miles for a coil to go bad?
What’s sad is you should not have to take a list and do Ford’s job. But it seems to be a sign of the times. Like was said, it doesn’t matter what it is there have been some serious quality issues on so many items theses days. Nothing is more frustrating than having something new crap out, but I...
I had swapped out my license plate light bulbs for LED’s a few years ago. Could not believe how burnt those housings were! Actually just had to bend the tabs back out on the left light housing as it was making the LED flicker on an off. Noticed it with the back up camera, thought it was the bulb...
My first thought was the cats must of caught the brush on fire, but as I read reply after reply I was like hmm? No answer means it must of been insurance fraud. Had me going for a few, lol! And if Gen 3 wasn’t the obvious choice.
China Lake was my favorite place my Dad was stationed at! Of course I left in 1984 so who knows what it was like when you were there. That area is what the Raptor was made for! As far as gas prices, it is pain, but I have to get to work and I sure the hell am not going to get a Prius to get...
