Sounds like you haven't been driving a Raptor for as long as some of us. My Gen 1 Raptor was a better truck than my Gen 2. I agree that it's good we have choices, just wish Ford never put a V6 in the Raptor. Quarter mile times in a truck mean nothing to me personally. It's the power that is...
Oh I definitely feel better, I just miss the old Raptor crowd so need to stop by every now and then! I was pissed off when the Gen 3 came out with the same V6, I'm happy now!
So I ordered my 2022 TRX (@ invoice for $78k) last July as soon as Ford unveiled the 2021 Raptor with the same shi.t.t.y V6. I bought my Gen 1 Raptor in November of 2012 after I showed my wife the Top Gear episode with Taner Foust ripping around in a Gen 1 Scab! That truck felt special and was...
I haven't tested my TRX off-road like I did my Raptors, but I expect it to be similar to the stock Gen 1. Do yourself a favor and drive or ride in a TRX, it's a great truck! It's my third Dodge product with my most recent being a Gen 5 Viper. The TRX interior reminds me of the Viper interior.
I would consider buying back in, I loved the Gen 1 Raptor but could never get used to that V6 in the Gen 2. What I'm most interested in seeing with the R is how they get the power down with rear-wheel drive and if they upgraded the suspension.
My Ford dealership contact just had a customer back out on a GT 500. She is in Houston, if anyone is interested, let me know. I get nothing out of this, just passing along info. I also don't know what she is selling it for.
So I grew up in Plano and when these storms came through just about every year, I would go outside with my dad and put cardboard boxes under a car cover, it sucks! We had a 3 car garage but there was always 2 Corvettes and my mother's car in there.
What is that bubble material made out of that...
I just traded my 2019 with 45k miles and got $67,500 on trade in. My original MSRP was $74k and I bought it new for $68k. You definitely don't have it priced too high, GLWS!
This was never going to end well. The guy in the Accord was a f$ u=c k **** (unbelievable that T & A > R # D is a censored word, FJB) and the guy in the Raptor sped up when the Accord was about to cut in front of him and possibly be on his way to never be seen again. Or do a brake check...
You're smart not trading your Gen 1 for a V6. I wish I never bought a Gen 2. Sure the Gen 1 is slower but the overall driving experience is better. Between the cam phaser bull-,****, the hard downshifts and turbo lag, even after a transmission and engine tune I still wasn't happy. My TRX...
I ordered mine from a Cecil Motors in Burnet, TX in July. That was before about 3 dealerships started ordering TRX's under invoice. These dealerships are also ordering other vehicles at or under invoice.

Because V6! Ford missed an opportunity and lost a ton of customers that were waiting on them to bring back a V8 Raptor. They don't give a ****, and then there are all the Ford dealerships charging ADM for 2022's. What a joke.
@FordTechOne , I just stopped by the local dealership to have the Cam Phaser recall scheduled (21N03). I've already had the reprogramming recall done and still have the noise. My truck was built 6/19 and has 40,360 miles, one owner. The dealership wants the truck for 1 day to "diagnose" that...
I'm sure she would make an exception for me and order a 2022 Raptor for MSRP. I moved on and ordered a TRX in July, still waiting for it to be built. I really wanted another V8 Raptor but I don't think it will happen. Hope you guys enjoy your Gen3 Raptors!
I'm really happy to hear you had a good experience and glad I could help! I believe people that work hard should be rewarded and the best compliment you can give anyone in the car business is to refer friends and family to buy a vehicle from them!
