Regarding the OP - I agree with most of your comments. The gauge cluster design leaves a lot to be desired - especially frustrating since they literally could do whatever they wanted.
However, the "vacuum gauge" is also the boost gauge, which is also how it worked on my 2019.
I don't think this is the reason, the regular F-150s of this generation still have the gear indicator. The Raptor has the "Raptor settings" (exhaust, steering, suspension) icons in the same place. I think Ford just couldn't be bothered to figure out a better layout.
I just got this one - American Roll Cover - for my Gen3. It is made in the USA and NOT a rebrand of someone else's unit - has a lot of features that are nicer than the other options.

Best part of it for me - the box/canister that stores the...
I agree that an actual lemon law case is quite a hassle and not a complete solution - but given that all you need here is for Ford to grab less than $100 worth of parts from the production line, it's likely that you only need to threaten it in order to motivate them to action.
I wouldn't worry about it once it's fixed. These things happen.
However, I would be furious at the dealer and Ford for not bending over backwards to get your truck back on the road. They are making new trucks, they obviously have the parts. If their own bureaucratic process means there's...
Yeah guys, "racing" means competing in an organized event, not ******** around in a parking lot. Ford is not going to void the warranty for comparing 0-60 times.
I don't think this is the reason, because the non-Raptor F150s still have the gear display and gear lockout. It seems like they put the Raptor settings icons (exhaust, steering, etc.) where the gear indicators are in the normal F150s and couldn't find another place to put the gear display in the...
Woah, awesome! I have Forscan, will have to try this out. Is this setting specifically supported by Forscan or do I have to go messing around with spreadsheets?
I'm all for engagement but if I'm just driving on the interstate I really don't care. Same thing for stop-and-go traffic due to accidents, construction, or just congestion. It would be great to let the computer take over in those circumstances and just chill out and enjoy the view.
The adaptive cruise control in my 2021 is fine. The lane-keeping assist is useless though - it does a decent job of staying centered in the lane, but it uses torque sensors from the electric power steering to determine if your hands are on the wheel. Meaning, if the truck is doing a fine job and...
Ugh, how disappointing. I figured it might be delayed further but I didn’t imagine they would just give up on it.
I wouldn’t say it was the only reason I replaced my 2019 - I wanted the improved rear suspension - but it was certainly a big one! Like others - I have to cross plenty of long...
It's just a software bug in the visualizer, don't worry about it. It has a bunch of graphics in layers that it stacks together to produce the final image. That's clearly the air dam layer from the normal F150s.
Yeah my truck had that hanging loose too.
It is the vent tube for the rear axle. It is supposed to clip to a bracket on another hose up near the bed, so that the cap on the hose is just level with the bed floor. The idea is that it should stay above water level if the axle itself is submerged.
I usually keep it on the Measurements page or the empty / "calm" screen. Unfortunately the measurements are less detailed than in my 2019 but at least there is something.
