Random question but why are those TFL guys always about 1 sec slower on their 0-60 then other reporters? I can somewhat understand it with a NA engine at elevation, but he was getting 6.2 sec at sea level which does not make any sense.
I would wonder if Bob Allen Ford and Metro Ford are owned by the same parent company? I see that a lot where the same truck will be listed at multiple dealerships but they are just under one big corporate umbrella.
Asides from that I would take the advice from jaz13 and use raptor finder...
I did try friendly and they wanted 5k over and really would not budge. It was a little weird because they have really low prices on all of their other Fords compared to the other Houston dealers.
I ordered mine at MSRP for Gullo Ford in Conroe. Chris Hawk was my sales guy. I placed order...
801 packages are a little harder to find since most of the trucks I’ve seen on lots are 802 packages. You can use raptor finder and search for exactly what you are looking for then start working the phones to find a dealer that will work with you on price. You mage have better luck with...
Sounds like you would have to travel a bit for a 18 at MSRP or below. My opinion is that if the 17 has what you want then get it, you are not overpaying for it IMO. Some may say you are and to a limited extent maybe you would be, but maybe 1 or 2k over priced. In relation to a 68k truck you...
You are 100% correct on that point. Anyone who buys a Raptor and is willing to mod the engine will be much happier with a V8 than the V6. There is no comparison there really. I’m just looking at it from a stock to stock comparison TTV6 versus 7.0NA V8. I never really do any upgrades to my...
But the factory option (if this were to happen) would be a NA7.0 versus a TT3.5. We would really have to look at how that 7.0 performs before we can say that the V8 is what everyone wants. If the power is the same as the 3.5 but it gets worst gas mileage then what is the benefit besides it...
I’m not sure what the NE is like on pricing. I’m in Houston and it is fairly hard to get a MSRP deal. I had to order my truck to get MSRPas every dealer wanted at least $2500 over sticker for a truck on the lot. At the end of the day I’m pretty sure if you spent enough time you could find a...
So it’s not a great deal, but part of it is where are you located? Does the 17 have the options that you want or are there some things you do not like about it? You can likely get a new 18 for MSRP in most places (some places like California and Texas are harder) and all things being equal I...
If you don’t mind sharing where did you buy and what price relative to MSRP did you pay? I am seeing a few people post on here that they are getting Raptors 1k over invoice, but for the most part I do not believe that. Mine is ordered at MSRP and should be in with the next two weeks or so. If...
I ordered mine from Gullo ford in Conroe. Chris Hawk is my sales guy. MSRP for the truck with no BS add ons. I ordered it in Oct it is being built now and I should have it before Christmas.
Hello fellow Houstonion! I ordered mine from Gullo ford in Conroe. They do MSRP no markups or any other bs. I looked at Autonation, Planet Ford, and a bunch of other places and I did not have lucky finding one at MSRP and the ones on the lot are generally fully loaded stickers and all. Chris...
The problem with any of these forums are people who just make us things to look better than other people. I have no reason to doubt your particular deal since you had to order it from a local dealer where you bought another truck before. The issues is people who post that they made a few phone...
For 99% of buyers the best you can get off the showroom floor will be MSRP, maybe 1k off if you get a super aggressive dealer on the last day of the month. Looks like anyone who is getting any kind of better deal than that is ordering from a smaller local dealer where they have a previous...
How often are you pulling the bigger boat? If more than once a week I would go F250. If you are towing once a month or so may be okay with Raptor. But man you are going to hate pulling that heavy boat with any half ton after you have been pulling it with a 3500.
Houston still does want MSRP+ for on the lot trucks. Now I feel pretty sure that if you came in fully ready to buy that you can get one at MSRP, but I do not think in Houston you could get one cheaper than that. I had to order mine from Gullo to get it at MSRP, which worked out since I did not...
You are correct in saying that 7-10k off of MSRP is fair, but if any dealer was selling a Raptor with 2k miles on it for say 60k (assume 70k new) it would sell within hours. Fair in my case being what price would the buyer get a relative good value compared to buying new and the seller still...
There are just not many used Raptors to really have a good benchmark for pricing yet. The few I have seen around Houston have been about 2k-4k below MSRP, but they have 10-15k miles on them. Texas direct auto has a few on their web site if you want to use that as a bench mark on pricing...
It is area specific and dealers are always going to be more willing to lower price when someone is in person than when they are over the phone. 2K under MSRP IMO is a great price right now and that is awesome that the dealer honored that price.
I am not saying that people can't get deals as...
Honest question, how much time would you spend right now looking for a "great" deal on a Raptor? If you can buy a Raptor at MSRP at a local dealer how much would you have to save to make it worth a 9hr drive both ways? How much time would it actually take to find that vehicle? I am not trying...
Dealers do not have sales regions as they can sell to anyone that they want. That dealership most likely wants to keep their sales local for a variety of reasons. They may have had issues in the past with identity theft related to an out of state buyer or some other logistical reason that came...
I think what you are saying is so much more accurate than people saying 1k over invoice is the norm. I live in Houston and I have called about 30 different dealers. Almost all of them start off with 5k over MSRP some even asking 10k over. They will go down from there, but they seem pretty...
