I think your understanding of failure rates is lacking. Reports on issues on forums should be taken in stride. My current truck is my 4th EB engine, and I have had one powerstroke engine and I have never had an issue. And second to that there is warranty that will take care of the small...
Why the gas over the powerstroke? I had a 2015 (?) F-250 (what ever year was the last one with the old body style) with the power stroke engine and I was extremely impressed with it. It had tons of pull. I never had issues with it, but I only kept it for a year or so. I just did not like the...
So what Truck out in the world would you buy? It seems like you have found an issue with every Ford engine out there, so tell us what truck is the best one to get. It’s easy for people to find faults in things, but how about finding something that can live up to your standards.
I had a C6GS and even just stock I found it had a lot of trouble getting the power down without major wheel spin. It always felt like the rear end was just a little too light, but I know that's not the case. I'm sure it was more driver error than anything else. I had a 2014 M6 after the Vette...

This is right outside of Houston. I bought my Raptor there. I dealt with Jose. I can me you his info if you need. Not a bad deal, and they don’t play any games.
We had a rental Wrangler 2019 in Denver a few weeks back and although the engine is stronger in the 2019 versus the previous generations, it still felt way under powered. Interior is nicer on the 19’s, but several steps below the Raptor. Honestly a better comparison would be a Ranger or Colorado.
If I ever meet a person who wanted to compare the quality of his Raptor door panel to mine I think I would just walk away.
Actually I could see my FIL pointing out the door panel and reminding me about it all of the time...
I can't wait to meet the person who looks at my Raptor and says "Cool truck, but actually if you stare at the side of your door at the exact right angle I can see a little bit of waviness in your door panel." I would then shrug and say, cool man what do you drive BTW.
I just want an engine that wont explode on me. Based on my peer reviewed evidence on this forum I take it to be truth that Ford is incapable of either making a decent 5.0 V8 or a reliable 3.5L EB. Also we can all agree that GM and Ram products are trash, Tesla's explode, Porches are poorly...
Man now I’m super confused. SL says the HOEB is trash, now I find out the 5.0 is trash. But we should wait for the 5.2SC as the best engine ever based on absolutely no knowledge.
That does it, I’m trading in my Raptor for a Tesla tomorrow since my truck is basically a ticking time bomb...
Prepare for the flames! (Although this forum is not as bad as the Corvette forum, those people think you are the scum of the earth if you finance a car).
I had a line-x in my King Ranch and the Factory in my Raptor. I like the factory a little more since it is not as rough as the Line-x. I have a MX4 bed cover, so sometimes I would just crawl in the bed of the truck to grab things, and that damn Line-x was super rough. The factory, while...
I have an MX4 in both my 2015 King Ranch I traded in and my 2018 Raptor. I have never had any water leak in, I think it's just a matter of install. On the MX4 the rails take up about 1" on each side, so at worst you may lose 2" of width, but I'll measure mine later and update you. I am a fan...
That is fair. If you take a Mustang and heavily mod it I’m sure it could beat those Porches. To a large extent that’s what you are getting with the GTs since they do strip out a lot of things to make them basically track cars. I took the statement to mean stock versus stock, but I may have...
I
I like how you screen shot the bottom part of the list that I used for the top part. Look, I don’t know why you are getting so defensive. I never said on a dollar for dollar basis the Porsche is on par with the ZR1 or even the Z06, but your original post said that Mustangs and Vettes eat...
These are your words:
"Vettes....hell certain mustangs & Camaros eat em up & spit em put on a routine basis."
That sentence is not accurate. As I stated earlier if you look at a cost/performance basis the Vette is a heck of a deal compared to the Porsche (I say this as someone who owned a C6...
Not trying to be a jerk, but have you ever tracked one? A few years ago in Denver we did a track day while I had my M6 (FI). There were Z06's out there, Audi's, almost anythign you could think of. Nothing came close to the performance of the 911 GT's out there. And those were NA engines at 1...
I'm not trying to be a Porsche snob, but they do make a fine driving automobile. Here is a list of production vehicles Nurburgring times (Where GM tkaes their cars to get best lap times).
20,600 m (67,600 ft)
6:44.97
Lamborghini Aventador LP770-4 SVJ (2018)
20,600 m (67,600 ft)

Guys,
I am looking for an offroad park within a few hours of Houston (willing to drive out to Austin area maybe). I don't need it to be crazy as I want to bring my five year old daughter camping and do some light off roading with her maybe some rocks etc, not looking to get the Raptor deep in...
I love my Raptor, but I actually think it’s the wrong truck for pulling that boat. I had a 22’ Tige and those boats are heavy. You add tower, gear, gas, whatever water that happens to be left in your ballast and you get a very heavy boat. Power wise you would be fine, it’s just the suspension...
Fair point as some may prefer the Fords interior to the Rams. My personal experience was that I was very impressed by the Rams interior. They didn’t have any hard plastic exposed on the dash like the ford does, and I know it dumb but I really liked how they have a holder (w/wireless charger)...
Right now it’s not fair to say the Rams are dirt cheap. The only Rams that are dirt cheap are the 2019 Classics that are just really left over 2018s. The 2019s are actually MSRPd the same as the equal packaged F150, but you actually get a little more discounts on the F159, and Ford is doing 0%...
