FYI. I wouldnt mess with an attorney yet. But you can call a couple to see what they say. All 50 states have lemon laws and lemon law attorneys cost the customer no out of pocket. And they dont take a portion of your claim. All fees are paid by Ford in this case. If you lose your case the...
I didnt see that. Thanks for the update.
Now the big question is ETA. It might be 5 business days. Might be 25 business days.
If you feel the pristine $70k truck you bought has lost value, appeal and dependability then stick to your guns on buyback. No matter what. Be on the lookout for he...
The only person that will proactively contact you at this stage is the regional rep. They usually only call every 3 days best case. Generally its a full week. I did not get good communication daily until I was at the end of my ordeal.
Based on what you have said they will likely replace the...
Good deal. Keep working it this way. Do you have a regional manager assigned (they will likely be in Detroit and not actually regional). Speak with them or their back up going forward. When you asked the Ford call Center agent or regional manager for a buyback they have to send it to the RAV...
I would not mess with Lemon law unless you have too. Work with Ford on a buyback or vehicle replacement.
If you wanted to persue lemon law you would first need to send a demand letter to Ford. Giving them a final repair chance to fix. Lemon Law is not cut and dry. Work with Ford on buyback...
I called and spoke to him. Gave him advice based on my case and experience with Ford. Sucks that his 900 mile truck has issues.
I predict a new transmission will be ordered. Truck will be out of commission for 15 - 30 days.
Mike, text me as developments unfold. And make sure to get the case...
That sucks man. Not sure what state you are in. But depending on the state, if you accepted a rental that was provided by the dealer/Ford then the 30 days is negated. That doesnt mean buyback wont happen, but you need to work with Ford and request the buyback. Ford will likely win if you go to...
My 17 AG was great. No issues like this.
This is my 18, in the video below. Truck was actually 20 days old from its build date.

I have never seen or had a color that scratches and swirls this bad. There is no way to keep this paint in good shape. Minus a $5000 whole truck wrap.

I can tell you whatever you need to know. My 2017 was a buyback and it was in the shop for 71 days straight. It was not easy to get Ford to agree to it.
You can call an attorney. They dont charge you any money. I didnt use an attorney. But most wont even consider it unless you have a case...
I was the first to report this. Thats my video. 2018 does it as well. Its annoying as ****. Its caused by the actuator.

It takes some getting used to for sure. For all the quirks its still awesome. And for me to say that, if you know my story, goes a long way to the Gen2 credit.

I would read the code and go from there. No way I would waste my time at the dealership and risk my trucks health. Many dealerships are the opposite of what they are supposed to be for vehicle owners under warranty. Most are this way. I said most, not all.
My vehicles wont be back to the...
