Browsing through the 2020 F-150 order guide, I noticed that the Raptor Technology package is no longer an option and will be included in the 802A Luxury Package it appears.
No idea what this will do to price of the 802A package.
Also, engine is the same as we knew.
I wouldn't necessarily call the factory springs "perfectly good", but to each their own. Anyways, when I had my 2019, I switched out the stock springs for the Icon RXT leaf springs and it was night and day difference. As many others have said, being able to remove that rear block on the axle...
I'd agree that the ride is about the same as stock with that setup, but where I could tell major differences is with the leaf springs the backend is much more planted through rough parts. Before the leaf springs, it felt like the backend was jumping around every time I'd hit any rough patches...
I think the notion that the Shelby Baja Raptors are going to retain their value better than stock trucks with mods is pretty far off. The markup on those parts you are paying to begin with seems about double if not more just doing some fuzzy math. Also, seems like they took a step backwards by...
I asked/posted about this a while ago whether or not any of the collars would be made to retain the factory clips to hold the sensor wires and the response was negative. This is ultimately why I ended up going with the Eibach springs (I think they actually add 1.7" of lift and Eibach has...
I have noticed them mostly when decelerating/coasting around 15 MPH or so. It also seemed to happen more often after fill-up and also when less than 1/4 tank.
Agreed, I also know what "welcomed" crackles and burbles sound like as I have had many sports cars that do this intentionally, but this backfiring makes it sound like a dang hoopty. I also run 93 octane.
Maybe it was just loud to me and had me worried. The first time I heard it was right after I installed my Eibach front springs so I was like wtf, how would that have anything to do with a noise coming from the rear. It was really just the timing that had me worried.
AWE, anything to add about...
Ya, at first I really thought it was my rear Undercover swing case that had came unlatched and was slamming back into place... pretty dang loud. Are you running any turbo adapters?
Anybody with the 2FG experience anything that sounds like backfiring? I sometimes hear this when I am at low speeds and let off the throttle to cruise before say making a turn. Also, I do have the SPD turbo adapters, not sure if that could contribute if that is what is is.
Agreed, I was thinking I might have the "dirty diaper" look for a bit until I put the rear leafs on, but to me it also looks pretty level right now. Makes me a tad worried that the rear leafs will give it a rake look like stock again.
Some pictures of me painting my Eibach springs in my "professional" paint booth... I will post some pictures when I get them installed, but I went with the Eastwood 2K Chevy Orange that has a reddish orange color.
