GEN 2 Is this Raptor The Ultimate Luxury Offroader

So, you think a stock raptor with wheels and tires is the ultimate luxury offroader?

Fits in the Garage ... Barely!

Pro tip: Make damn sure you never hit the tailgate release on your remote when the trucks in with the door shut. I did it once, didn't realize it, and opened the door. Got some nice scratches in my tailgate handle surround now. I lucked out. There's a raised lip at the front of my garage and...

    Painting the wheels

I don't see what's wrong with painting the wheels if you prefer a different look but like the wheels. The majority of aftermarket wheels are painted anyways. Plasti dip is a really good option to see what you like, or if you want the option of going back to stock colors. Plasti dip has held up...

    Best DIY ceramic treatment

Just like he said, I've been on Shine Supply for a few years and I haven't been disappointed with anything. The beadlock pro wasn't out when I coated my Raptor so I went with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light. This is their consumer one, but it's holding up EXTREMELY well. Prior to this I've been...

    New ADD bumper at sema

Thank you for the response, and I completely agree. Posting something on a forum isn't the way to go about getting a warranty claim handled, and if anything isn't going to make you guys actually want to help too much. My question was honestly about the coating. I'm just trying to figure out if...

    New ADD bumper at sema

Are you guys doing anything on the powder coating for these to avoid the rusting issues others on this forum are having with your bumpers? Here's a link: https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/add-stealth-fighter-rear-bumper-rusting.66878/

Need your advice to save some money

That's a subjective thing. It really depends how much you care, and how much your eye sees. Some see it as a truck and it doesn't have to be perfect so it may not be necessary for them. I see it as a truck and use it, but I also work to keep it as perfect/new looking as possible. If you want...

Need your advice to save some money

You can most certainly do the ceramic yourself if you can follow directions and be methodical about the application. I've been having great results with the Gtechniq I put on mine. Generally the bulk of the install price of ceramic is the paint correction process which can be incredibly time...

How to get to get a shine on Matte Black (Method/Fuel/Etc) wheels

I can't see that minimal amount of wax causing any hazing issues, if anything it would just shine them gradually over time. I had that issue on a set of methods on a superduty, but every so often I'd just hit them with a matte detailer spray and it would usually knock it off. I'm thinking...

How to get to get a shine on Matte Black (Method/Fuel/Etc) wheels

When you clean them what are you using? That looks more like fading from a harsh cleaner or just plain age. Another option would be to put a light polish on a microfiber applicator and basically polish them a little like you would with regular paint. Just be consistent and methodical so its...

How to get to get a shine on Matte Black (Method/Fuel/Etc) wheels

Shine Supply has a wheel and suspension specific ceramic coating called Beadlock that will make it a little more of a rich finish. Here's a pic of a method wheel half coated:

    After wash film removal

The best thing I've found for when its so hot out that the water dries too quickly is waterless wash. Mist one panel at a time and wipe and move to the next. This seems to work a whole lot easier than quick detailer. I use EcoShine from Shine Supply, but I assume others would work as well...

    Swirl removal question

Those pieces get scratched up in a hurry on every truck. It's basically really polished up plastic as far as I can tell. It can be corrected just like paint, but it's really soft (as evident by how easy it scratches). What you want is a light polishing compound with a finishing type of pad...

    Easy Entry / Exit inconsistency?

I think if you shift to neutral it'll allow you to switch while moving. Not ideal but its probably a safety issue so you don't hit a preset by accident while moving.

    Is this tree sap?

Looks like water spots to me, I bet some sprinklers got ran on the truck and it was harder water. Especially if it's only one side of the truck. The vinegar mixture might work, but after that I'd try a water spot remover product, if that doesn't work you'll probably need a light polish. I'd...

    Low engine oil pressure

If it makes you feel any better, my 18 does the same thing. At 3k miles it had eaten 3qts and the light came on. Since then the consumption has gone way down, to about 1/3-1/4qt every 1000 miles. I just check it every 1000 to be sure. I'm at 32k miles now and it all seems to be ok.

    GEN 2 2019 Raptor Wrap

It will add some gloss but there are none that would take a gloss finish to matte, unless there is some new product someone is hiding. There are ceramic coatings intended for matte finish paint, but they won't make it matte. It does crystallize similar to paint, but it's a very thin layer...

Fuel Wheel quality question for current owners

I've got the red zephyrs. The paint leaves something to be desired for sure. Inside most of the windows the paint is incredibly thin to the point of being transparent. On the small lip area, its also very thin and it seems to be fading. Backsides are more of the same. It's all stuff that you're...

    Amazon car care...

I used to exclusively use CG. Then I started to notice exactly what you're saying. I've tried most of the other brands, but switched most of my stuff to Shine Supply since then. Everything works really well and it keeps things simple. The only knock on them is I can't get it on Amazon like I...

    Ventilated Seat Cleaning

I've had some good luck using a vacuum with a really small tip, and it gets most of it. You'll still have to go back with something small like you've been using though on some of it.

    Ceramic Pro

The detergents that touchless washes use to get vehicles clean can be really harsh, and would seriously diminish the lifespan of a ceramic coating, in addition to any other wax/sealant that you put on. Those same detergents aren't going to be easy on any of your black trim that's prone to fading...

    GEN 2 Rotary Polishers

The torq DAs leave something to be desired. I’ve got a torq 10fx that’s been decent, but now I’ve just retired it to 3” pad duty for small areas quickly. I got myself the new Rupes mark 3 with the 15mm throw a few months ago and it’s miiiiiiiles ahead. It’s a little overkill for as much as I...

    Ceramic Pro

Two things to note about this combo: Black/white light contain non permanent fillers. Putting a sealant/wax on top of these will cause them not to last as long. I used to be a huge fan of V7 spray, but I noticed over time my wax/sealant didn’t last as long as it had previously. Turns out it...

    Ceramic Pro

A high quality ceramic coating, yes. Ceramic Pro? Meh. I've known a few people that have went that route lately only to have it seemingly wash off within months. The new wave of spray ''ceramic" products are ok for what they are, and if you're just looking for some protection for your paint...
