Removed all the trail dust and bugs from the recent trip and even gave it tire shine for the @John M BUNMAN seal of approval. :)
However, during the cleaning I noticed that somehow both of the clear covers on the Rigid Driving Lights had vanished.
Which ticks me off since they don’t make...
Last day in Colorado before heading home. Today’s journey included Pike’s Peak and Garden of the Gods. Raptor ate up the climb to the top of Pike’s Peak and didn’t break a sweat. Sport mode made quick work of the climb and did great down shifting on the way down. Garden of the Gods is just a...
My wife and I spent Tuesday going around Grand Mesa which might have been past peak for wildflowers but was still spectacular . Spent today on the Imogene trail at Ouray but opted to take the ride along tour since the trail was clogged with Jeeps and Razors. Made getting photographs easier...
Finally found a 2021 rear cup holder from a salvage yard. Just in time for a trip out west to Oray, CO. Also put my Leatherman Raptor Rescue Emergency/ Trauma shears on the BuiltRight Molle Panel under the center console lid. Took some modification of Leatherman’s Molle mount as it’s for a...
@FordTechOne to the rescue yet again. :favorites13:
I had an interesting time with the dash when I crossed over to Canada last year when the system did its automatic adjustment over to metric but for some reason kept some gauges in US and in particular the speedometer which then showed the...
Thanks, this helps a lot and is certainly a better description of the process than what SVC provides. I figured out that the bolts I was referencing are the 12 point bolts. So a bad description on my part and you’re right; once you start laying things out things, it becomes clearer...
Thanks for the write up and photos. I just received my set from SVC and and it’s very well built and impressive. However, they still have no instructions beyond a YouTube video which is helpful but leaves a lot to be desired (torque settings for all of the bolts would be useful). The install...
Definitely. There’s a reason it’s called a footwell and not an upper body well. The instructions make it sound so easy. “Drill a pilot hole with a 1/8” drill bit and then enlarge the hole to accommodate the screws.” What they don’t mention is that one hand has to hold the pedal while you...
Finally got around to installing the Badlands jack w/ Grove Fabworks mount and getting extra spare and tie down points in the CargoGlide. Thank goodness for screw inserts and JB Weld epoxy :) Tight fit for the stock 35” KOs but it does fit.
Also installed the aluminum brake and...
You’re more patient than me. I got frustrated at all of the covers for the center console cup holders that would come up using that but time to rethink my approach. Congratulations on snagging one.
Interesting. Definitely not what was on there originally. However, it’s what should have been on there in the first place. Wonder if they have a matching rear differential cover now aside from purchasing the Ford Performance or Dana Spicer cover?
Thanks and understand that there are factory rubber bump stops (front and rear). I initially was looking at just the rear bump stops given the extra weight I have there from the DiamondBack cover and CargoGlide but saw that FOUTZ were offering fronts and thought that would minimize the jarring...
Nope, they weren’t quoting the wrong person. It’s a “welcome to the forum” hazing thing. You came into the forum saying you drove your Raptor home but didn’t include a photo of it in the post, only in the user profile. Everyone who comes into the forum and posts that they’ve just bought a...
The SVC kit looks nice since it has adjustability. Had been leaning toward the FOUTZ front and rear bump stop kits along with the limit strap for the front but may end up mixing the two since SVC doesn’t offer a front bump stop kit (yet?). However, I don’t see much if any discussion about...
Yes, they are raised/domed and made to fit within the outline. They definitely aren’t thin vinyl cutouts. TufskinZ says that they made of a UV resistant resin with a 3M adhesive backing. Given the cost, I certainly hope that they don’t fade and last for a good long while. :D
Here you go. I was concerned that they would really stick out like a sore thumb but it turns out they’re a little more subtle from a distance than I thought when I first applied them.
