I'm running the RPG frame support kit with FOX bump stops. The bumps move when doing track days. I can tell by the dust lines on the bump shafts. I've got mine set to 100 psi and I'm still only using about half of the 2.5" travel of the bumps. They really take the harshness out of landing...
The FMI kit looks nice. But their install has some cutting and grinding that I didn't want to do. See install link below. The RPG kit is all bolt on. Though not an easy install. Sneaking that bar under the bed is a task. The RPG strike plates bolts to the parts that FMI want you to cut and...
RPG has a few options for Gen 2. Some of which you have to buy the strike pads separately. But that is because depending on what set-up you are running you may or may not need them. If running stock leaf spring and the RPG bump stop kit you just flip your stock bump blocks over and use them...
Oh... and a couple other tips/things to consider.
If you use the factory fog switch (at the headlight dial) for any of these lights, they will turn off when you turn your high beams on. I'm pretty sure that's a DOT thing as every vehicle I've owned has been that way. I set mine up so that...
I have this kit on my truck but with the Sport Squadrons. The fit of the middle light on each side is so tight to the bumper that I can't get a rock guard on it.
I started out with the clear lens on each light the way they came from BD. I bought amber & clear rock guards to play around with...
They decrease weight and increase strength over stock. They use stainless steel Uniball pivots rather than the OEM rubber bushings (check out the panhard bar picture Foster posted in this thread). So less flex & binding as the axle moves up & down too.
Got out in the dirt yesterday. 163 miles of it in NC.
This truck continues to amaze me. You can drive it like a side by side in woods all day, and then get on the hwy to head home and it rides better than most luxury cars.
For the record; only one of these are mine and that's not my driveway. Mine has the factory bead locks. The other belongs to my buddy who owns a 4x4 shop.
I'm running the same set up. The brackets from John / SPV are great and they leave a nice even gap alongside the fender. And the SPV wire harness is great too.
The driving combo lens with an amber cover works well for my needs. The clear setup off road is almost too bright for me. And with...
I've got a Gen3 that's making this noise after some aftermarket parts have been added. I've got RPG; UCA, 1.5" perch collars, & tie rods. The truck was silent when stock. It has 6,200 miles on it. It does it in 2H and 4A. It's pretty easy to replicate when turning and on any type of slope...
I bought those to try out. They worked great for checking/setting tire pressure. I then installed my factory valve caps on them. The next day all my tires were low. The factory caps must push down on the top of these just enough to allow them to slowly leak air. I don't think you are...
Took me a couple times to get what you said. lol. It's because it's actually a Honda Ridgeline... lol
Next time I'll roll the cover all the way up. Haha. Thanks!!
LOL... sounds very familiar. Same story for me. Hope you get your Blue Cruise refund sorted out. I was just about to give up on mine and my dealer surprised me.
Too funny... So I reached out to my dealer for a copy of my original sales agreement to send to Ford with my my sample letter. The dealer said "we'll have a check for you today for $1,395." I just about fell over in my chair. They went on to say my '22 truck came out around the same time Ford...
