Well guys, I got it to fit a little better using a parking stop I got off Amazon, and some green automotive tape for visual reference. Used a laser pointer from the driver's seat to show my GF where to put a mark on the wall. When the tape disappears, I'm in...and the parking stop keeps me from...
Skeptical this would work at all. Anyone here enough of a geometry expert to figure it out? I would think the angle would need to be fairly extreme for this to be of benefit.
EDIT: Eh, maybe?
I get it. The other issue it introduces is it would split the garage literally into halves. I'd need to open the garage door (or climb through the truck) to get to the other side. No wife or kids, so I'm the only one parking in there and no need to hug the wall. I suppose these are first world...
These homes are cookie cutter design nowaday. Same garage dimensions in 600 2,400-3,800SF homes with the odd "3 car" option if you want to spend the extra $25k, but that also comes with cabinet and floor "upgrades" lol. The depth and height are all the same. Builders are more concerned about...
Oh yeah. I also have a house down in Sarasota (SW FL 45 min S of Tampa) and feel like Jacksonville is basically running a permanent half-off sale.
This house I'm in now was built during the depths of the recession, with corners cut everywhere. I work in RE for a living, it's "cheap" for a reason.
My Genesis G80 integrated nav (and music info) in the center cluster, it was really useful but the directions only worked with the stock nav. Just as well, Google maps has integrated speed trap warnings now, but haven't tried it instead of Waze just yet. Be nice to have this and radio/music info...
Mattress pad is a great idea!
OK so I appreciate all the suggestions here and realize I'm not alone.
I suspect a tennis ball and mattress pad would be a good solution for me. I'll need to park forward.
The other bummer is the truck bifurcates the garage so the only way to the other side is...
The neighborhood's not bad but we do occasionally get kids trying rummage through unlocked cars in the middle of the night. This has occurred in every 'hood I've ever lived in.
Unfortunately it's a rental and plumbing for one of the showers is directly behind that drywall. The park curb might...
Unfortunately I think I have a new driveway ornament until I move somewhere else. Did the measurements prior to purchase, 231.9" depth and the truck is 234.9". Figured it would be tight but didn't envision this. I worry the garage door is going to shift and get caught on the back bumper...
So confused.
So Waze is now a built in app? If so, where is it getting its data from? CarPlay is already enabled, so what's the change here? I cannot find any information via Google on these changes.
