I really like that. I plan on towing mine with a Class-a in the next couple of years but this removal of the tow hooks was one reason I was thinking of trailering it instead of flat towing. So the rubber pieces around the hooks just get tossed? If I flat tow I plan on the Roadmaster 524431-5...
So I wonder, are these 4 new sound mod settings just 4 different sounds coming out of the speakers to make you feel good? Not even heard on the outside?
I will second this one. I had 2 of these noises. One was found to be a trinket hanging off an umbrella handle that was in the passenger seat door storage slot. It was on a chain and swung to a fro hitting the side of the storage slot. The second was just a pair of sun glasses in the glove box...
Hey, how about details and pics of the tow method. What are you pulling it with. Flat or trailer? Pics please? It would be every bit as interesting as all the others have done.
It looks like I am in. I registered first. It would not let me input the purchase date. It kept changing the 2019 to 2021. I finished anyway. Then I got an email from them saying they could not find my VIN and they wanted me to provide the VIN and purchase date via email. I did that and a few...
I went to register a couple of days ago. While registering it notified me that I had 1 year from the date of purchase to register. I purchased my 2019 SCREW in July of 2019. Can anyone verify that is in fact true. It let me finish the process without any other notification. Dang-it, if I had...
I know this is an old thread but the answer to this was never revealed. I have a 2019 SCREW 802a. This morning I filled it up and went to the dump to weigh it. It weighed 6180lb. I am 200lb and there is a 40lb custom bed cover in the bed. I have added nothing else to it.
6180 - 240 = 5940lb.
I have noticed a lot of older posts with pictures now have the pictures removed. For instance:
https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/modify-a-screw-rear-seat-latch-to-lock-in-the-down-position.27364/
I'm sure I had read over this thread in the past. And I think the pictures were there?
For sure the AFO and the RVibrake3 appear to be the best 2 choices. I appreciate all the input. I still have a couple of years before I will have to decide.I'm still not 100% sure if I'm gonna trailer it or not. I've learned quite a bit for all here. Thanks.
From the RVIbrake3 manual:
The slope sensing software will keep RVibrake3 from being more sensitive
downhill and less sensitive uphill, giving you accurate braking at all
times. This software keeps your brake pads from having excessive wear.
I just read this from https://www.trailerlife.com/towguides/controlling-trailer-brakes/
An inertia-based proportional controller generates an output that is, as the name suggests, directly proportional to your braking needs. Most proportional brake controllers measure the tow vehicle’s rate of...
Ya, I think you are correct. However the Control Center, which should be within reach of the driver, can be set to only participate in emergency braking. So on a long down grade it seems pretty easy to put it in that mode (basically off). Obviously you can't be doing that a lot. It would get...
Odd, I was just looking at that very one. Watched all the videos, read the manual, but I do not understand how the unit in the toad knows you pushed the brake pedal in the coach or how hard you pushed it.
Is that light bar legal for toad lighting? And what kind of electronic brake controller is on the truck? Usually a truck brake controller drives the brakes on a trailer. But the truck IS the trailer here?
Interesting. I didn't know the light bars could provide brakes, turn signals, and backup. How do your "electric brakes" work and what is draining the battery of the tow vehicle such that it needs a charge from the tower?
Been investigating more. Flat towing sure forces a lot of connection points to the Raptor. Base plates, lighting, air, and break away. Is everything but the base plates concealable when not in tow? And concealable in a way to not be damaged when off road? Surely you don't have all this stuff...
