Thanks for the honesty. I can't argue with what you say, as you guys have a much better feel for the market then I ever will. You do what you have to do to survive. For me it sucks. My truck has long been paid off. It's been bruised and battled but ready for more. I have no desire to jump into...
What was Rogue's reasoning for making the J link kit a 2015 and up only? Is the R&D for the first gen platform already being abandoned?
I can see wanting to get a jump on the market for the next big wave, but I would guess a lot of first gens are at the point of being paid off, which gives...
I think everyone would love to see an improved IWE on the gen2. People would be doing swaps to gen ones like crazy. From what Fords shown so far, it looks like the same craptastic system.
It doesn't force the driver to learn nor does it make the truck perform better then the average skilled person could wheel it (off road at least). Turn all that shit off and a decent driver will get the truck from point A to B quicker then having the nannies interfere. If the truck can easily...
Lol I'm going to say by electric clutches, it means the ones in the transfer case. Not ones to replace the IWE. Although due to the fact the truck isn't out yet, I could be wrong.
The last part says who needs a lightning. If ford offers the Raptor power train in a standard f150, the truck would be lightning speed worthy already. Probably faster then the L1 and L2.
The gen 1 down hill assist does a great job for its purpose. It also does a great job of baking the brakes- heats them faster then you would have by just applying them yourself.
If the terrian management uses torque vectoring via brakes, will we see the same accelerated brake temperatures?
It does make it more marketable. But then again the first gen didn't have problems selling.
Good point on the Fords programmers. People could possibly have one tune option if they make one for the Raptor Eco. You know most that tune will wanna go bat shit crazy wth it.

Yes! The area between perfection and perfection!

You're approaching p=Gen^2eb!
The "maintenance" of the gen 2 EcoBoost is complex and not easily explained... You see, the gen 2 EcoBoost is a form of technology that has yet to be witnessed by mankind. I've been painstakingly researching Fords media page for hidden codes of truth by reading between the lines of talking...
Doesn't sound horrible here.

If it sounded like this going around TRR I'd probably take note. Specially when it makes A10 shooting noises. It must push up on a two step of some sort to keep turbo spool.

I agree 100%. But that goes for both sides of the ball. If we say let the truck speak for itself, then people need to stop with the perfection and Ford talking point threads. It will be a long few months but longer storms have been weathered over the years.
I'm not sold on the looks yet. The squared off edges make it look better suited for slow speed log road romping (think power wagon), not bombing 80 miles per hour down a sand wash in a sleek fashion.
I think it's also taking a softer route and has swayed from its relatively hard core off road...
I see the gen1 vs gen2 quarrel as just another storm that will eventually blow over. FRF has weathered plenty of similar shit shows in the past. Show me one forum where everyone agrees on everything. I think we see a lot of passion from people, not a lack of enthusiasm.
The Eco boost comes...
Someone's upset I see. I would expect the 2017 to take the lead unitil the Eco boost takes a shit although there's a good chance the 14 could lose its power steering. I honestly see it as a toss up.
The ecoboost in stock form had and still has misfire issues.
The closer the Raptor engine is to the GT engine, the more robust and responsive to mods it will be. That would be a plus for sure. I'd like to see the power band stretched another 500-1000rpm as I think it would make it even more...
