It's a lot of work, but it's rewarding in the end when you see the finished product. And if I do it I know it's done to my standards and the way I want it done.
@EmbDriver Spandex is reserved solely for late Tuesday night and every 6th Friday.... Howd you know...
@Buzzard2 I try to be as organized as I can when tackling jobs like that. Squeaks and rattles and clicks drive me up the wall!
@ogdobber you are correct. And of course it couldn't have been any of the easy ones no no. Had to the the lowest one.
I have had many dashes outta GM trucks and cars over the years. I will say all in all, the Ford came easier over all I think.
And I can deep clean everything......
@Mbdurham Specialized makes a great bike! They all ride nice! My trail bikes a carbon stumpjumper. And dh bike is a carbon Pivot Phoenix. But this is a truck forum! Truck looks great too btw!
So at the gm dealer I used to deal with transmissions. The 6L80/6L90's when the torque converter is slipping the clutch will cause a almost honking sounds that resignates loudly under the conditions you describe. Now usually the trans pump it self is also damaged from clutch material going...
I do perty much all my own parts installs and maintenance. For alignments I usually take it to Davis GMC. They have a beauty top of the line in ground drive on Hawkeye aligner. The alignments come out mint every time!
Their shop forman Brian Lindsay is a wizard with alignments . Also have...
I have also not had alot of luck finding even semi local shops for parts/ knowledge when needed. I'm down in Lethbridge. I usually end up ording parts outta the us. Shipping to the line and picking them up to avoid the over to boarder rape.

There was some ass jacket for a while telling people to drill a "weep hole" in their intercooler to remedy that and condensation conserns. How ever that's a God damn ludacris idea. Some oil I believe to be normal with the pcv system. A catch can is a good idea. I'm sure some much more...
SL75 Why don't you go find some traffic to play in! Stop shitting on this guys beauty truck and thread. OP congrats on the truck she's a beauty! Looking forward to seeing the post shots after you've worked it in a bit!
Just a gen 1 poverty raptor. I solved my endlink problems by simply removing the whole away bar with links. 35000kms since, plenty of offroad high speed fun. Haven't looked back.
It would be nice to find a couple Canadian suppliers to avoid cross boarder shipping and the costs associated with them. I have used the amsoil MPHD on my stock shocks on my 12 and it's helped them from the salt .I really don't know what material really will hold up the stupid amount of salt...
I think this is worse then mechanical .This is them changing software/programming related things. It's bad when they do a shoddy part install .But a guy really can't see what's done with computer stuff .
I'm Leary to get mine done. But then there's the what if?
