So at the gm dealer I used to deal with transmissions. The 6L80/6L90's when the torque converter is slipping the clutch will cause a almost honking sounds that resignates loudly under the conditions you describe. Now usually the trans pump it self is also damaged from clutch material going...

Just a gen 1 poverty raptor. I solved my endlink problems by simply removing the whole away bar with links. 35000kms since, plenty of offroad high speed fun. Haven't looked back.

Did you have any undercoating done? If the guy doing it got some on the exhaust it will smell like burning rubber for miles?

I think this is worse then mechanical .This is them changing software/programming related things. It's bad when they do a shoddy part install .But a guy really can't see what's done with computer stuff . I'm Leary to get mine done. But then there's the what if?
