@melvimbe has been to the property!! There goes the neighborhood!! ;)
Well, we were at it again this morning with no luck what so ever. Man, I've removed a lot of roots and dirt and this stump isn't giving an inch! Here is a photo of one of the roots I cut out. I put it on top of the stump...
Wow! I've never seen a group of people so starved for a funny video of an idiot doing something stupid with a Raptor and a tree!! :)
I'm a little more reserved and tend to take things slowly and methodically. My wife constantly complains that I engineer things to death!
We'll no joy this...
I've pulled a few bottle brush trees from the current front yard due to the freeze. Those we're pretty small by comparison on what I'm going to try now. I've got a new piece of land about 1.2 acres and I'll be putting up a big metal building (30' x 50') in addition to a house. There was an...
Interesting thought. I have a telescoping golfball retriever that can extend 10-12 feet easily. I'm sure it would be fairly easy to use the telescoping tubes from that golfball retriever to do exactly what you're thinking. Then you would be able to get the light much higher. Of course, you'd...
Installed a bedside LED spot on a bogan arm to provide more lighting to the side of the truck. More details at:

Thanks!! That might be in the near future. Right now I only did the one side where we would get the most use out of. It's the same side of the truck that our RV door is located. So that is the "living" side of the RV where we would have chairs, tables, fire rings, etc. If this works out as...
Well I spent some of Sunday afternoon with this install. It was really nice out to work on the Raptor. Had fun fishing the wire through the passenger side frame from the rear of the truck to the front. Pretty much the same path I used for the BD S2 reverse lights I installed last year. I got...
Found some old speaker wire I had laying around that turned out to be the exact length I needed. It must have been destined for this application.
I also bought some shrink-fit wire connectors that I'd never used before, but wanted to try them out since they looked like they would work great...
Next up I needed the BuiltRight small bed side bracket to mount the light.

Earlier in the year I had purchased a few items in case I decided to do this install. I bought the following 67 large carbon fiber bogan arm:

I also bought two Tackform 20 mm ball mounts...
Thanks @clark98ut for the idea!
I was in Harbor Freight a few months ago and came across a Spot LED cube for something like $15 on clearance. I couldn't pass on that, even though it was a Harbor Freight light. I had enjoyed @clark98ut's install and I thought this LED could fit the bill. It...
Not to my Raptor, but for my Raptor. Found this pretty entertaining. Purchased a rear viewing camera to install on the back of my RV. In the users manual (if you call it that) I found this graphic. Much of the components and paperwork had asian writings (probably Chinese), but somehow they...
Never was educated on the proper way to measure height. I had seen several guys measure from the ground, so that is what I did. My stock 2019 SCREW with full tank of gas and with about 7,800 miles:
Driver Front 40.5
Passenger Front 40.5
Driver Rear 41.75
Passenger Rear 41.5
I don't believe powder coating temps are anywhere near the temps you would need to start affecting the steel hardness/strength. I believe powder coating is somewhere in the upper 300 degrees F (maybe 400 tops) and you need to get well over 1000 degrees F to even start messing with the steels...
Went out and hooked up the trailer to make some adjustments to the WD hitch with the upgraded suspension that was installed last weekend. Here are the new measurements of the wheel fenders heights with a full tank of gas.
My Deavers were HD +3. My sticker looks like yours. Installed them this past Saturday. Here are the before and after measurements.
For reference, stock was:
Driver Front - 40.5 in
Passenger Front - 40.5 in
Driver rear - 41.75 in
Passenger Rear - 41.5 in
With Deaver +3 and Eibach Springs...
I have no idea if there is a market or need for stock leaf springs, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Just put some Deavers in and so no longer need the stock leaf springs. These leaf springs have about 7,800 miles on them. I'll take any offers through Sunday night (10/25) and see where this goes...
FRF is a great family!! Not only can you share and get great info here, but the members are awesome and willing to help out with an install. Here is photo of the four of us after a Saturday spent installing Deaver HD +3 leaf springs and Eibach springs up front. I can't thank these guys enough...
Had some great help yesterday and got the Deaver HD +3 leaf springs installed. Since we had time, we went ahead and knocked out getting the Eibachs installed too!! Took her to the mostly level parking lot (same place as other measurements) and got new measurements. I'm sure the springs will...
