2018 Raptor stock (no lift, after market springs, etc), stock KO2’s with ceramic balance beads. Air pressure varies, but always 4 psi less in the rear vs front.
Routinely drive at governed max (108ish) on local test track for 20+ miles continuous. No shimmy, no wander, no shakes.
Make sure...
OP. Pick one that’s lived it’s life away from snow, salt air and ocean beach cruising.
I’ve purchased two OBS Ford pickups from Oregon and the bodies/undercarriage are pristine. Ones a 93 and the other a 97.
Crawl underneath before you buy. Lots of room under a Raptor:)
OP. It’s not the snow, it’s the chemicals they put on the road to melt the snow/ice.
Best advice is to rent a vehicle if you need to drive through all of the chemically treated roads. The slush gets into places that you cannot reach on your vehicle.
The chemical dust sticks to your vehicle...
Buying this book from Tony Candela is a good place to begin your journey.

Everything that Tony sells on his site is top notch.
I recommend that you add relays to the lights, that way the...
I’m all in with the “be prepared” stuff.
However, providing your vehicle is in good repair, and if these are road trips, all you really need is some cash, and a AAA card…the one that allows the long tow, plus trailer tow if you are pulling a trailer.
Make sure that your tires have plenty of...
My 2018 bought in MN has the CA emissions. I ordered this one and took delivery in August 2017. We did not specify CA emissions. This makes me wonder if all Raptors have CA emissions.
Just ask the dealer that you are buying from if the Raptor you want has CA emissions.
Also, I believe that...
Interesting side note. Had an old garage torn down and replaced with a new one. Raptor finally fits:)
My garage builders do garages only. They do maybe 150 ish a year. Except for this year. The season tapered off early for them and they did 30 fewer than an average year.
Even more interesting...
When Vinny and Jimmy (Houston installers) put the Ravelco unit in my Raptor, they said that putting in Jimmy Jammers and replacing driver’s side hardware with passengers side was a waste of money. Vinny said that the thieves would just break a window to gain entry. Bummer for me since I had...
Yes, the fender flares are painted. You could repaint or even replace.
If you are lucky enough to be able to drive your Raptor like a Raptor, you’ll eventually develop a nice off-road patina on your truck.
These small issues once bothered me. Now I enjoy the patina:)
Pretty close to you. Drive “Hell’s Backbone Road”. It’s both easy and has excellent views. It starts as paved, then leads to some well maintained forest service gravel roads that you can drive for many miles. All easy and all beautiful.
Eat in Boulder, Utah at Hell’s Backbone Grill. Excellent...
Try this weather seal. It uses 3M adhesive. Has worked well for me since Aug 2017. FYI I have spray on liner. The 3M adhesive works!

I have the Gatorbaks. They work really well for keeping mud off.
Where they don’t work is when backing up over ledges. The flap gets stuck between the tire and rock ledge and gets ripped off.
If you’ll be doing rock crawling the rears at least won’t work. If you’ll never rock crawl, the GB’s...
Cody. One man’s opinion here…I’ve got S2’s under my OE bumper. They give off plenty of light. I see no need for anything in addition to the S2’s.
Note that the S2’s are blinding from behind. I needed to train myself to make sure that the aux switch is turned off after use. :)
