Go Fast Camper has a great operation 100% engineered and built in the USA. And yes it is pricey but a niche quality product.
The wait list was long so I went with an iKamper mini mounted level to the cab roof over a tonneau over with Front Runner brackets. Weighs in under 150 pounds.
Planning...
Congrats. My Raptor is in ice up north and all the Raptor accessories are sitting in JAX - including the iKamper Roof top tent. Waiting to see when they post Raptor Assault School dates in Utah. Also interested in seeing more info on local trails.
Never thought about the difference in the front between the gen 2 and 3. I will need to study it more. But I think the initial observations are spot on that is smoother suspension and fresher feel inside. The good news either way is the residual for resale has been great and they trade and sell...
It fits but squats - planning to add air bags on day star cups that don't attach to the axle and doesn't restrict the articulation when not under load. It's a calculated experiment.
Good recap. I have been a couple times and planning the next trip. Irt will be interesting to see the difference in controls from the Gen 2 to the Gen 3. I agree, Holiday Inn is much better place to stay.
I removed my tail gate and purchased a Ford Factory camera and harness. Made some slight modifications and installed the camera on rear of the Scout camper and plugged the harness into the stock tail gate connection. Functions as OEM with camera displaying on OEM screen. This cost a lot less...
Just found a Gen 3 today and will be moving my overland set up. Interested if anyone is using pick up truck camper and made any suspension mods.
I was running a Scout Olympic on Gen 2 with an added leaf spring and Timbern bump stops. Worked well but a little stiff.
The gen 3 has a little more...
I have a pretty good overland set up with an iKamper Mini sitting flush with roof mounted on a diamond back cover and a brand new www.pullkitchen.com mounted under the cover. Recently purchased a topper so I will be selling the tent and pull out kitchen. Can be picked in in Jacksonville area or...
I looked as Rostra relocation kit but it was out of stock. My Ford Parts dealer sold me an OEM Camera and Harness. I purchased a housing online (needed to modify and use super glue) The set up works on the OEM display but you lose the alignment lines. Dealer can recalibrate but its about $160.00...
I was using an iKamper mini set up (which fit in any parking garage ) on a diamond back cover with a pull kitchen (www.pullkitchen.com) since the Gofast was just not available. Never used the pull kitchen as I have since changed to the Scout Olympic. which ended up be 700 hundred pounds more...
I picked up a Scout Olympic. Drove 3,000 miles and averaged 15.5 MPG. Spring shop added one leaf so handles well. Quieter then a pop up type and no set up time. Minimalist with solar, heater, small sink, fridge and stove. Visit www.scoutcampers.com
I like the GFC but parking in the city garage was an issue so I went with an iKamper mini and Frontrunner rack that keeps the heihjt about an inch over the cab. That leaves enough space between the tonneau and bottom RTT to see out with the rear view mirror
I removed the tailgate for a camper install disconnecting the rear camera. I plan on installing a camera relocation kit. I have the 360 cam tech package Dealer advised me that each time the back up camera is disconnected , the system needs to be re-calibrated at a cost of $160.00. Also, the...
Call my dealer in Boston area. He had several Broncos in stock. Chris at Quirk Ford - Quincy MA 617-249-5660. Maybe we can do a three way trade as I am back and forth between FL and Boston all the time.
Congrats. I too was lurking to replace my 2020 rapid red but found a Ford Maverick in NH at MSRP as a daily driver. Just purchased a Scout truck camper to pick up in Seattle . So the iKamper RTT and Diamond back cover may need to go but I do like the cover!
I installed this mount - looks OEM . The mounting is solid but the phone holder is cheap plastic, soI purchased this charging holder that has a motorized clamp and replaced the cheap holder. Since it has charger built in, easily can run lons USB cord under tray to fuse box, etc.
Wish ford would...
This year, they offer built in video. I may go with that and enjoy the drive. Last year, I use my goPro and cam for a decent movie.
Heading to the 3/16 class.
No reception this year but thinking on getting there a bit early to chat up with the other attendees
Just note the fine print that if...
I have a love hate relationship with them but have installed the SAME ones 4 times - an F150 and three raptors . Mounting pointes were the same for factory install for 2016, 2918, 2019 and 2020.
Great for holding stuff you don't want in the cab from tools, liquids, ropes and gear. Left the on...
I was anxious to order the 21 to replace my 19 last November but gave up and swapped it for the last 2020 on my dealers lot. My 19 hit 41k miles in 15 months and I felt another year would have killed the trade in value. The only think I can say is the the seats in my 18 were all leather around -...
