How well does this protect the hood? I'm getting more and more concerned about rock chips (already noticed a couple small chips), and while I'm not in love with the way this looks, it's better than dealing with chipped paint.
Also, anyone have an idea if this would stick to a ceramic coat...
I very much doubt that is the case for the vast majority of PB Rap owners. I ordered PB sight unseen and loved the color as soon as I laid eyes on it five months later.
Four months removed, I still love it. No support or reassurance necessary.
My beer fridge is the sole reason why my wife parks in the single car port and me in the double car port.
Or should I say, my backup/garage beer fridge. Only a caveman would walk inside to get a beer from the kitchen beverage fridge when he's doing yard work.
So you had enough room, you just didn't want to move the fridge over? lol, that's great.
Glad it fits though. Having the truck in your garage is MUCH better than outside, even if in a carport or effectively a tent.
Mine's probably a tighter fit than yours. I've gotten used to pulling the...
My recommendation would be a carport off the side of the garage, if you have the ability to add one. It would be real stable, and one side would be shielded from the elements. Free-standing? I'd probably just build something. Cement some 4x4s and go from there. My worry about a more...
So I think that there are two separate points there, but both valid. If your argument is that the increase in price has not been met with a linear increase in quality, you and I are in full agreement. The price:value ratio isn't what it once was; Not even close.
On the other subject ("based...
I'm glad you got the issue resolved to your satisfaction. It is a matter tolerance, imo. I live miles from where Raptors are assembled, and I can tell you that every pickup truck (manufacturer agnostic) around here looks like that underneath. It's never bothered me for that very reason.
And...
Can't fault you for this, and frankly I'm sorry for the role I've played. I should have known better than to get dragged into such a silly argument by one of the forum hot-heads.
I suppose selectively picking what to read and not read doesn't surprise me in the least with you. Probably for the best though, since that hole you've dug is only gonna get deeper.
lol, you really think you're right, don't you?
Tell you what, let's break this down to base elements (literally). Your point of contention is that steel shouldn't rust when exposed to a corrosion agent? That's just... well, stupid.
So what you're really saying is that between assembly, test...
I'm sorry that constructive thoughts instead of emotional responses don't resonate with you; But at least you managed to answer my question, and also prove why my point is perfectly valid. The skid plate is a functional instrument that doesn't serve any aesthetic purpose. So who cares if it...
I was perfectly clear in my stance, though I'm sorry you're having a hard time understanding it. Here's a better question: What's with the aggressive nature of your replies? Did I somehow insult you? If so, well... Sure seems like you had it coming if this is how you approach casual...
Because you state, "off the show room floor" like the truck has never seen a corrosion agent. These vehicles are manufactured in a cold weather state and exposed to the elements for days/weeks after assembly. If you think you're going to get a truck with an undercarriage that is 100% clean and...
I can't speak for the others, but I'm not criticizing the build because it wasn't 100% custom. It's just plain ugly. He removed a lot of what visually makes a Raptor a Raptor. Not to mention that paint color. Did he break into my mother-in-law's house and color sample her drapes?
Most of my driving is expressway or divided highway, so hard to engage in Raptor formalities. But I do wave when the opportunity presents itself.
Though I would recommend not waving at another Raptor when you forgot you took your wife's Explorer instead of the truck because she was parked...
