Mine seems to be working fine with the hot weather in Florida...the fan is always running high when I first get in. Have you done some diagnostics: setting the temperature setting to LO; using MAX; or just turning up the fan speed?

How are you testing it? The socket might be fine and the fuse blown in the device you are plugging into it. The fuse is located in the metal tip and can be unscrewed to view. I've chased the wrong fuse before.
