Mounts are in-house brackets from SPV. The bullet antenna is… I can’t remember but one of the highly rated bullet antennas, cuz I only buy the best stuff.
Except for half and half because the store was out of all the name brand creamers and I had to settle on the store brand. Fml
Thanks to Sidney and John @Specialtyperformanceparts , I was to able to get a killer Black Friday deal on a set of XL80 driving combo pod lights, SPV’s A-Pillar Bracket and Harness, and a relay to hook it all up to Aux Switch #4.
Install was pretty straight forward although, I have to admit, I...
You get to a point where you wonder if you're the one who has the problem and are just being too picky, when in fact it's the dealers who are lazy and probably resentful that you own a $100k truck. They likely see us as a bunch of complainers but I guarantee you if they spent that kind of money...
Before you go through that trouble, see if you can drive a post-SSM build raptor to confirm what you’re feeling isn’t to be expected. There’s gotta be someone on here in TN with a “fixed” GEN3 that’s willing to do a quick drive.
Also, if your dealer is refusing to do anything about the rear it...
After driving around for a week I’d say it’s 90% better than before. Definitely a lot tighter in the steering wheel, not as much feedback over rough roads at lower speeds. I do feel a hint of a clunk but I’m going to assume it’s the threshold for Ford saying “it’s supposed to feel like that.”...
Seeing the early results of the poll I set up an appt with a mobile fluid film sprayer. Being only $300, sprayed at the house, and recommended by you all, I think it’s the right choice.
Do you have to wash it off in the spring or can you leave it on and reapply over the old application each winter? Looking for something that doesn’t take a whole lot of maintenance too
I live in the northeast and if you’ve ever lived in this area you know how much the salt damages the undercarriages of vehicles. My last truck was a TRX and the first winter I had it the surface rust was pretty bad. I’m looking to get the Raptor rust proofing but I’m not sure what the best...
you sure your butt doesn’t hurt from getting pounded by the dealer with an ADM and insanely high auto-loan percentage rates? Pretty common symptoms after buying a raptor in this market.
Not that I’ve seen. I’ll say I haven’t had it happen again since the summer. I’m pretty sure it was a software issue that was silently fixed through an OTA update.
Ya I hear you. It’s hard enough getting the dealers to approve the work, let alone making sure we’re getting the correct parts installed. It’s really on Ford for not having better communication about what the issue is with the original part and letting dealers know exactly what to look for.
My dealer also confirmed that the part number is correct just now. The old struts removed from the truck actually had completely different part numbers. I didn’t check them before they were removed so I wasn’t sure what the part number was. These are the struts that were factory installed and...
Got my truck back today with the fronts replaced, so far so good but I only drove it 5miles to the house. The plot does thicken though because I SHOULD have the same part numbers as you since we both have 37” trucks but mine differ in that the new front left is an AQ not an AL, but my front...
