To your first question, I’d definitely put the stickers on before ceramic. If it’s already on the truck just buff it off with some polish before throwing the stickers on, then reapply the ceramic.
I like CF but I’m also a ricer and run my tires with the letters out because #racetruck.
This has got to be the most pretentious sounding post I’ve ever read on this forum in 4 years. Congratulations. Please proofread before you post with “mouth-breather” expectations of poor grammar and punctuation.
To your point: People are going to view the value of that $80k+ differently based...
Yup. I got a bed cover, XL80s for the A pillars, bunch of new bottles of detailing supplies and penciled appointments for lineX all over the truck and tint. Walking by my pile of stuff only seems to make the wait harder.
Goosetuned (responsible for the gen2 vs gen3 dyno) would actually benefit with lower numbers on the gen3: he's going to have a harder time showing torque/hp gains with his product if the tune from the factory on the gen3s is hotter than the gen2. So no, I don't think he would pad the numbers on...
That's really funny you say that. A blue '13 with 130xxx miles just came up for sale right up the road from me and I'm really tempted to go snag it. I know as soon as I do, my dealer will call me the same day and be like "surprise!".
Mine was week of 9/27, in production on 9/20, blend of 9/28. I talked to FP on the 1st and they confirmed it was built/completed on the 28th. Been sitting "in production" since the 9/20 with no changes. My ETA on the timeline is TBD but when you scroll down it shows 11/13. I called FP yesterday...
9/28 blend with a production date of 9/29. Confirmed the truck was completed on 10/3 and been sitting since. "Waiting on shipper" is what they keep telling me. Tracker still shows my truck in production but with an 11/13 ETA. They can keep their $16xx delivery fee if they'd let me fly up and...
Be careful doing this with corporate. I had this idea a few months ago, called to get their address or what have you and was shot down pretty quick because of their gift policy at Ford. Similar to ours in the Military. They can't accept things over a certain $$. But what people don't know can't...
Supposedly, when you turn the truck off and back on, it'll default to Normal everything. The only way to start it in the different modes is to turn the truck on to accessory mode, cycle the exhaust mode, foot on brake and start again.
@Raptor37 my gen 2 did this exact thing on the website. Was supposed to be delivered 25-31 October and never updated on shipped or eta. Dealer called me on 12 October saying it was in the showroom. I’m pathetically optimistic for you/us.
Would love to pay cash, but that gov't salary isn't going to cut it. I finance for as long as possible and usually pay off my vehicles within a year. Our other gig (real estate) is completely volatile on earnings, 2 months with 0 and then a month with something insane, especially in this market...
Think UPS Ground times if the truck is actually moving. It's QC checks and getting the trucks on/off the trains that takes so long. I've seen vehicles sit at rail yards for a month+. But the actual movement of your truck to FL should only take 3-5 days if it stays moving with no hang ups...or...
I don't understand why there is so much hatred for the stop/start. I have 3 cars with stop/start and in all 3 I can come to a stop, foot on the brake, and not have the car turn off if I don't want it to. The raptor is the easiest to modulate the brake to not hit the "breakover" pressure and have...
I called a few weeks ago to check on my build and asked Jeremy for their work/office address so I could post it on the forums and we could shower them with gifts and sacrifices. He stated Ford wouldn’t let them receive gifts over $X amount (I think $10) or something. Was hoping to send them a...
First reviews will come from actual buyers' cars. Not press/dealer demos. Whoever gets their Raptor first could be sitting on a dollar or 2 if they are halfway charismatic on camera with halfway decent camera skills. Replicate the car reviewers' vids of guys that have a million+ subscribers.
